what's the max level they can turn undead? If they turn as a cleric 2 levels lower, or however that descript was (assuming the paladin is lvl 10, they'd turn like a cleric at lvl 8?)..can a paladin ever turn as well as a cleric? Where's a chart that shows the max lvl a paladin's turning ability will max?

Since a Paladin can reach level 34 in TOB his maximum 'turn undead' level can become 32.
And since a Cleric is gaining levels faster than a Paladin and can reach level 40 a Paladin will never be able to turn undead as well as a Cleric.

And the maximum 'useful' turn undead level ist 34.
You 'll need it to kill Kangaxx this way.

Just how it sounds. A paladin turns like a cleric two levels lower. Of course, a single classed Paladin will already be several levels behind a cleric with the same experience at high levels, so that 2 level nerf is actually more than it appears. When your cleric is level 20, the Paladin will already be 3 levels lower....meaning he turns like a level 15 cleric when your cleric is level 20.

Which means a paladin can never turn a demi-lich unless you have XP cap removed.

    That's not exactly true :

He can turn the demi-lich and thus making him ineffective because of fear. This requires level 27 resp. paladin level 29. But he can't kill him this way.

Where is the link or chart that shows what lvl one needs to be to turn something? I've only seen a 2nd ed. chart that shows lvl 14 priest is max lvl to turn, but guess that's not the case in BG2/ToB

There is no official chart, just those deduced by players. Someone figured it out a while ago and posted it. Search for "Demi-Lich: 34" or "Kangaxx: 34" or anything along those lines.
