I'm starting a solo Drow paladin that I will dual to sorcerer. At wich level should he be dualed? Should I take just one paladin level for the saving throw bonus and immunity to disease, two levels for smite evil and immunity to fear, three levels for turn undead and remove disease, or four levels for spellcasting?

This is a very good question indeed. I hadn't thought of this yet... The immunity to fear would be very usefull, especially when fighting the guardian. Remove disease wouldn't be worth it, because you've already got immunity.

    I'd go for a lv6 paladin/levelx sorcerer

Dualling doesn't exist in IWD2, as it is a 3e game. And you can multiclass progress in either class on level-up at any point you want, so you can tailor the character to your needs as you see fit during gameplay.

Actually this isn't completely true when dealing with paladins. If you multclass to Sorcerer, you will no longer be able to level in the Paladin class, it is definetely a good idea to see if there's anything in future levels you might want before multiclassing it. (The only multiclasses with the Paladin 'kits' are Fighter, Cleric and Wizard respectively for Helm, Ilmater and Mystra)

True... But what if you start with a sorcerer and then multiclass to paladin? (If that's even possible.)

That's a good idea, but it still comes down to the same; if you multiclass a, lets say, level 6 sorcerer to a paladin, you have to continue in the paladin class becouse as soon you add another level to your sorcerer class, you wont be able to continue with paladin class anymore.
It's best to stick to the paladin class from there on, or don't multiclass at all. Get it? :D ;) :p

and don't forget the xp penalty you'll receive if you have a sorcerer6/paladin1, the differerence in levels is too high, you'll get a 20% penalty, maybe even 40%!

[The highest penalty you can get with two classes is -20%, and you get no penalty in the above case if you're Human or Half-Elf - BTA]

A lvl 4 paladin's spellcasting is terribly weak. Don't go for it. Your sorcerer's power comes from his/her levels. One or 2 lvl1 divine spells will not compensate for possibly more amounts of higher lvl arcane spells.

A lvl 3 paladin's turn undead is pathetic. Don't rely on it. Remove Disease would be okay though disease is very rare.

    My suggestion is:
Stick to a lvl2 paladin for immunity to fear and the anti-fear aura or just a lvl1 paladin for the saving throw bonuses. When I did my paladin multiclassing, it was always either 1 or 2 lvls of paladin then go all the way with the next class, or get lots of paladin lvls.
