    Loved the show.

Favorite character? Not sure I can pick one, but Alvarez springs to mind.

Oz is one of my all-time favorites.

    Favorite characters:
Simon Adebisi - yeah he's evil, but anyone who commands Schillinger's respect does it for me.
Tobias Beecher - the complexity and development of this character is truly intriguing.
Nino Schibetta - archetypal godfather who had the balls to tell Adebisi to his face, "Shut the **** up!". Dissappointed that he lost out to ...
Ryan O'Reilly - can anybody outwit this truly evil genius?
Kareem Said - the only guy who maintains decency and dignity in the hell that is Oz.

    Least favorite characters:
Schillinger and Robson - being half Native American, and half Jewish, I just can't help but hope that somebody, anybody will sodomize or kill these two scumbugs, or both. I'm in Canada, so I get the show late. I hear Schillinger's gonna bite it in season 6 and I just can't wait.
Jazz Hoyt - born to a rich family, and he's still a murderous psycho and bully.
Kenny Wangler - picking on smaller and all by himself Gilliam Tarrant. Praise the man for his courage.

    Favorite storylines:
Tobias Beecher - a story unto himself, with so many believable twists and turns that I'm surprised that I can keep up.
Adebisi's lost redemption - tried to find his African soul with the help of Kip Kemi Jara. Once Jara is murdered, Adebisi reverts to his former self and concocts an oh-so brilliant plan of revenge.
Jefferson Keane's redemption - actually a quite touching story of a hard-*** gangbanger's conversion to Islam, and martyrdom.
O'Reilly's inner conflicts - While I called O'Reilly an evil genius, he also definitely has his humane aspects, his love for Dr. Nathan, his devotion to his brother, his affection for his mother.

Beren, I get the show late, too, which really ticks me off. I can't wait to FINALLY see season 6. I'd sure like to see Schillinger suffer some serious pain. I have a bad feeling that after all Beecher has been through, they'll bump him off just to keep us off balance.

Have you seen season 5? Showcase did air it.

I'm a huge OZ fan too. I've missed most of this (the final :( ) season, but I'll probably get the DVD's when they come out. It's such a gut-wrenching show. It beats the crap out of the highly over-rated '6-Feet Under' any day.

    My favorites:
Beecher - Melancholy personified. You root for him because he's not an evil rat bastard. He's just a normal guy who made a mistake that destroyed his life. His transformation throughout the show is very compelling.

Busmales (I think..the old guy in the fishing hat) - He cracks me up. He's a lifer, yet always seems cheery and with a sense if humor. Even when he was cought busting out twice, he had this big "Damn, I'm good" smile on his face.

Schillinger - Admit it - you LOVE to hate him.

Augustus Hill - The resident cripple/junky/philosopher/narrator. I'm glad he's still on the show, even though he's...

    The ones I hate:
Keller, Keller, and Keller - They don't get much more evil and deceptive than Chris Keller. I really hope Beecher wises up and puts a schiv up his ass. Someone needs to.

    Timmy Kirk - Rat bastard.

Ryan O'Reilly - I hate that everything that happened to Cyril was because of Ryan. How can you use your own brother like that? And a mentally handicapped one at that? Despicable.

McManus - Can't keep his mind of his weiner and be a professional. Is there a single female Oz employee in the show's history he HASN'T hit on? Besides Sister Pete? What a putz.

Claire Howell - Skank isn't the right word, but it's the first that comes to mind. Maybe harpy. Yeah, harpy works. She's just that nasty. Blegch.

Well that's the Death Rabbit Oz Wrap-up. Great show. :thumb:

Death rabbit, Busmalis is not a lifer -- he's only in for Breaking and Entering. His friend, Bob Rebadow, IS a life, though -- the last man to be "executed" in the late 50s. The power outage that saved his life came back decades later and killed his grandson (or so Rebadow believes. His talks with God are hilarious -- in a lot of ways he reminds me of Jan Jansen.

I've got the first two seasons on DVD -- just waiting for season three. Wish those HBO bastards would hurry up -- I see no need for them to wait any further -- those who want to buy the DVDs will buy them now or later -- HBO is just hosing itself out of profits now!

Eamonn Walker is the MAN! I wish I lived in the UK just so I could see more of his work. Although I heard the rest of the movie was ka ka, I still want to see "Tears of the Sun", just because old Eamonn is in it.

Cool. Didn't know he was in for B&E. Actually, I never knew what he was in for come to think of it. Thanks. I guess I just assumed he was a lifer because of his age.

I think it's funny how stern and serious Eamon Walker is in Oz, but in real life he sounds like such a puff. Shows his depth as an actor. He's great and adds a lot to the show.

Yes, I agree HBO are being way stingy with the DVD's. I guess they have to wait a few seasons for people to forget about each season...otherwise why would people pay for HBO if they could just buy the DVD's only for the shows they want to watch? They're shrewd, I'll give them that.

As far as I'm concerned, they're IDIOTS, I'll give them THAT! As for old Rebadow, he entered OZ in Season 2. he dug a tunnel (big surprise) into a bank or a jewellry store. As he came up the other end of his tunnel, there were cops waiting for him! Too funny. Did you see what happened with him and his girlfriend? It was too funny -- I hope season 6 explains it a bit better.

Anyone here from the States with HBO?

I've seen it on HBO - I didn't realize that it was delayed elsewhere. Want me to tell you how the series ends? I know because I saw it.... seems like months ago. I jest, I won't ruin it.

I'll provide some additions to both favorite and least favorite characters:

    Favorites:
Augustus Hill - you can't help but like somebody who really is trying to drag himself out of something as powerful as crack addiction. He also tells it exactly as it is, the good and the bad.
Burr Redding - you gotta respect a black man who's as tough and gritty as they come, and yet is too principled to be a psychopathic jive-*** gangbanger. Usually, when somebody rationalizes his actions as "survival in this difficult world", it just sounds like self-righteous garbage. Coming from Redding, its bona fide and sincere.

    Another least favorite:
Scott Ross - Same vein as Hoyt and the Aryans. Came from a good home, yet he's an a****** and a loser on account of his own self-indulgence. A fitting end for him that Whittesly took away his manhood before finishing him off.

One of the rare, good series on TV. Shame that is always came so late at night.

    It has attitude... somewhat.

"Be careful what you wish for. It may actually become true." Who coined this cliche?

Well, in one my above posts, I expressed the wish that somebody would either waste James Robson, or make a prag out of him.

I'm starting to get season 6 on this side of the Canada-U.S. border. I watched Robson cry like a baby in front of Sister Peter Marie. Then, in order to survive, he contracts with Wolfgang Cutler. Protection in return for being Cutler's prag. Now, I felt "good for Robson" at first. But then, I wasn't expecting anything to occur with a ... I won't say. I actually felt sorry for Robson, for about half a second. It lasted only for half a second precisely because it was James Robson.

Well, I'm anxiously awaiting to see what's in store for Vernie Schillinger.

On the other hand, I'm in shock over Kareem Said getting shot to death by Lemuel Idzik. Kareem, despite or because of his holier-than-thou, was possibly my favorite T.V. character of all time! The tragedy!

    Enough for now.

I really love this show but sadly the Swedish network that have the rights have butchered it as it jumps around in the tableu and you can never be sure when or if it is going to be aired. I have seen a bunch of mishmashed episodes in no particular order. I have to admit for a liking for Adebisi and O'Reilly though. That little fella that is Adebisi's sidekick is also cool, he is just such an stereotypical sidekick.
