When I started playing BG and BG2 I found this site (SP) and a place called Mikes RPG center http://mikesrpgcenter.com/index.html

These are where I get all my info on BG except a little from Biowares official site. I am also interested in the general D&D world since I just ordered NWN, PS:T and IWD to continue. BG is my first experience with D&D. Are there other good sites to visit? I am asking about sites that have general game playing info. I like Mikes site because it is easy to look up a weapon etc that is mentioned here on the forums. I have not started any mods yet but I do know that SP has links for the mods. I have never visited any of them so I do not know if some have general info also.

Welcome, Chas to the best CRPG forum there is.
I'm certainly no expert on this subject but I have been playing BG since it came out and various other games. In my experience this is the best board I have come across. I occassional go to other sites for information but not for forum paticipation. I have the one you mentioned bookmarked. We also have a forum for other games not listed. You can ask a question there about any game. Just explore the board and you will see that it covers quite a bit.

    A couple of links:

All round RPG coverage (and they're hosted by SP):

    http://rpgcodex.com/

As above (but they aren't hosted by SP):

    http://www.rpgdot.com/index.php

    For NWN:

    http://nwvault.ign.com/index2.shtml

BioWare's NWN section (from there, it's easy to navigate to the forums where sections for all their games are)

    http://www.nwn.bioware.com

But we still rule (the purpose of this clause is to prevent Tal from gutting me for giving you links to the competition ;) ). Pretty much everything you need for a game we cover is on SP ppages and most questions you might have have probably been answered already in our respective forum sections. The advantage we have over other gaming forums is that you get no stupid talk and no leet gibberish but normal answers.

[IMG] SP does have a Related Links page, you know... http://www.sorcerers.net/Community/Links/index.php

I'm not sure why you'd need other sites though. Everything you could ever wish for for D&D games is on SP in one form or another, and as far as downloads & content are concerned, there are no other sites that would come even remotely close to SP. Only NWVault has more NWN general content and material for builders, but that's not really of any interest to gamers. What is is on SP.
