    Anyone seen this one yet?

Saw it just an hour ago and I've got to say it made a huge impression on me. It's one of those films you find back in your dreams one day.

(btw, is it to go see a film, or to go watch a film?...you watch telly I know, but it seemed awkward to say I went and watched a film)

Not seen Old Boy, but I was interested in the Film/Movie question as well. Perhaps it's just an other American/English matter, like Elevator/Lift etc?

I had never even heard of it but I looked it up on IMDB and it certainly sounds interesting.

As far as the see/watch question, people around here use both of them quite frequently. As a third option, view is also commonly used.

    Saw it too. It rocks.

It manages to be quite subtle at times, despite some violence.

I'd never heard of it either, but then living where I do, that's not surprising. After IMDB-ing it though, it does sound pretty good.

As for the 'movie/film' and 'see/watch' topic, I personally refer to videos/DVDs/TV broadcasts as movies but cinema/theatre screenings as films and as Uytuun referred to, for me personally you watch TV/DVDs/videos but you go to see films.

Anyway, back to Old Boy, is it similar to anything else I may have seen?
