Oh, my poor, poor framerate.

I think I killed all the harpies. And the wyverns. And slaughtered everything in the Crypts. Now i'm in the castle. I am at the most frustrating battle I've had so far. Not because of the difficulty, but because of the number of effects and spells going off. The Rakshasa battle. I'm nearly to the point that I'm willing to cheat because otherwise, the framerate is going to keep killing me. Plus, the experience isn't a big deal... I've reached level 30 in Druid already.

Don't you just hate that? :flaming: I had the same problem on my previous computer and it sucked. Well it's OK now :D . When you can't take it anymore just use cheats especially if you are already lvl 30. ;)

Run the config program, and drop your pathfinding down to 10,000 or even 4000. On big battles, this makes the largest impact; period.

After that, you can drop down some of the other eye candy if you need to. But I bet you won't; having your pathfinding locked at 32000 or higher is what causes the chopppiness in the big battles.

If thats the guy that uses the globe of involrnbility you can not beat him he is impossible so cheats won't help. I hope you have a saved game before you atteacked him because if you don't your game is screwed.

Actually, I did manage to kill him without cheating. I used my summons, surrounded him, and pounded as fast as possible, then did the same to the other rakshasa. An Entangle spell held the majority of their summoned monsters back, and I fried them with spells while my summoned creatures pounded on them. It was a pain with the framerate, but I did it.

[IMG] Framerate doesnt really matter that much in those situations if you have auto-pause on for all attacks etc, coz you can see whats going on from the text.

Yeah, it's nice to look at the fight scene in smooth graphics but it's still possible to get through it. :p
