Strauss from NWN2News couldn't resist publicly quoting a PM referring to "his world-famous editorials" he got from someone. Not only that, but he aims at replying in such a way that, "fragile sensibilities are going to get hurt." And here's some actual content:

First and foremost, those that are in “shock” I can’t help but wonder what world you are living on. Certainly is not the reality I live in. This game has been supported since 2002! Aside from killer FPS hits like Unreal or Half-Life few games are still supported 4 years after release. So to that degree Atari and Bioware deserve kudos. Certainly one could even argue Bioware went above and beyond due to the fact they have been supporting the patches for the past year without funding/support from Atari.

However, Strauss sort of fails to add things together and notice that BioWare has been supporting NWN1 without funding from Atari and Atari has simply pulled the plug. Not denied further funding but pulled the plug. Also, let's not forget it was about horses making it into NWN1 while NWN2 didn't have them. Let's hope no fragile sensibilities are going to be hurt but this little observation...

    Or this:

So all this crying about the game being dropping is really silly IMO. You got FREE support and content for YEARS, what is there to whine over? Is it disappointing if you are still playing classic NWN? Sure. But was this day going to come sooner then later? Of course it was. I am amazed how in shock and awe some of the people posting are, it’s quite perplexing.

Again, what about the fact that Atari didn't announce any final date, didn't even withdraw support or funding, but merely told people to stop their work on the planned premium module?

You may not like it, but this is the way the game industry works. There was no way Atari was going to continue to have Bioware support a game that would delay people moving over to NWN 2. It does, if you look at it from their point of view, make sense. Why help people hold on to a game that will just give customers motivation not to switch? Considering they have already been given above and beyond support/freebies for 4 years.

I would think it's been explained that pulling the plug is going to hurt more than leaving it as it was would have.

On a side note, I want to once again clarify; As Robert likes to have selective reading. He keeps posting as if I have something against DLA as a whole. That is totally not the case as I have said MANY times, I do not. I just have an issue with him and his arrogant, negative, condescending attitude to anyone who does not worship at his feet.

Underlines and bold not quoted. If you'd like to experience more of Strauss's humble and generous attitude, read the whole thing at NWN2News.

Being stupid is Rhomal's/Strauss's modus operandi.

He's the kind of guy you can just ignore whenever you see him post anything, because he's not going to say anything worth paying attention to.

Every now and then with "editorials" like that Rhomal manages to remind everyone who might have forgotten that apparently the sole reason he's made his website is so that he can keep up his self-glorification along with posting the kind of stuff that's got him kicked off the moderator team on BioWare's forums. Considering the amount of resentment he has towards BioWare and much of the original NWN community, it's really mind-boggling what a guy like that is doing running a NWN2 fansite (or not, if you realize that he's running it almost exclusively for the benefit of his ego).

Not that I find his site's contributions to the NWN/2 sphere completely useless... it's a gold mine, really. In the sense that you have to dig through tons of dirt, rocks and crap before you hit something of value every now and then.

Not to mention that I get a good chuckle every time I see him brag on the front page about the number of unique visitors his site is getting. Nothing better to fuel someone's self-importance than shoving the visitor stats down everyone else's throat. :shake:
