NWN Combat Compared to Turn Based?

    [​IMG] Hi,

    I'm from the Temple Of Elemental Evil and Pool of Radiance TURN BASED camp and I just purchased the Platnum NWN, but I havent installed it yet.

    Question is - compared to turn based games - how do you organize tactics in NWN combat?
    Can you pause the game for tactics? Inventory selections? Select spells? The manual talked about event stacks and such but wasnt very informative.

    NWN has the "active pause" system, like the Infinity Engine games. You can pause the game with the space bar and do assign actions, which will be carried out once you unpause the game. The difference is that in NWN (up until HotU) you only have one henchman at best (+ familiars, animal companions, summoned creatures), so you don't really have a full party to control. Just start the official campaign and see, it has a simple tutorial to help you get started.
