NPCs won't talk.

    Remove all ads!
    Suddenly I am having a problem talking to NPCs, esp. the sewer golem in the beginning of SoA. I keep getting the message, "Cannot initiate dialog. Sewage golem appear busy." I have tried reloading the game and still can't get it to talk so I can continue playing. Any suggestions????

    Are you playing the Enhanced Edition or are you playing the original 4 in 1 Baldur's Gate Collection like you posted about before? You should really post in the correct forum in order for people to be able to help you.

    I have the 4 in 1, but have ordered the EE edition. The game never had this problem and now I do. About just to give up this game, to be honest

    So you are currently playing the 4 in 1 edition with ToB installed? Then you likely need the ToB patch; this was a known problem back then with ToB.

    You've given the "energy stone", or whatever it's called, to the golem to "power it up"? Has it "done it's job"? I've never been able to talk to the golem after giving him the order (and stone) to "do it's job" whatever that is. Lol.
    What ever you do DON'T give up on this game. :p
    I have to say it is my favorite game followed by FF7. I just love materia (does that mean I'm Yufie?. lol) and Red13 is the best!

    But seriously don't give up. Especially if you have the EE on the way. I can't imagine playing without it now.
    Like the Lord of Destruction expansion for D2. Can't imagine playing without it :D

    Play play play. You'll be glad you didn't give up. :tobattle:

    If you can't figure it out there is always the dungeon be gone mod that would let you skip the first dungeon, just look for the guy beside the cells where you started.
