After starting IWDII up ... AGAIN :D ... I decided to play it this time with a differnt intent, which was a more 'roleplaying' party. This party, being GREAT by the way, had back stories that lasted for pages and pages! I had put a lot of effort into making the party this time and I belive playing through the game it was a lot more fun than the previous times. In addition, I had put every type of roleplaying aspect into this party as possible! MY own little creation which I love! :D

HOWEVER, I was rushing waaaay to quickly and made a terrible mistake. I planned on creating a sorcerer 19/bard 11 but there was only one problem ... I had made the bard LAWFUL evil, and upon gaining a level and trying to select a bard level I was horrified to see that the little bard tab was blacked out (GASP). Silly me, I just realised bards CAN'T be lawful at all, and I made mine lawful evilllll

I REALLY don't want to start again as I've been playing far too long so what can I do? :(

    SUGGESTIONS PLEASE :D

Use dalekeeper2 to either modify your alignment or add the bards levels as you gain them.

If you havent already, download Dalekeeper 2 (I think it is posted on SP). Once it is installed and you have loaded your game into it, go to characteristics and you will be able to change your alignment. You cannot use your quicksave file so you will have to create a new save file and import it.
It is a very useful, user friendly program that can help in those situations where you screw up and are to far in to start again.

    That's up to you. :p

The site has a copy in the one of the download sections of IWD2 I think. Just go back to the main site and proceed from there.

I downloaded my version elsewhere but that site ceased to exist long ago.

It can screw up your game if you change things without knowing what they do, like flags, or add spells that belong to creatures rather than player characters.

Dalekeeper2 can be found at the end of this page matey.

Nope, go ahead, you can change alignment and sex without problems, I think, but sub-races and classes may be tricky. And never ever fiddle with flags, globals, and weird spells, else it will be ugly.

^ Well, isn't it good that we are all enthusiastic to help a fellow player who needs answers?

BTW, DK2 is a nice tool, you can see the stats of all monsters and NPCs in the game with it (WARNING:Do not edit them!), it sure is interesting, and gives you insight! Do you know I&M's weakness? :shake:

Hehe that was easier than I thought!!! I actually HAD to change a few of the stats to match my ultimate roleplaying party :D

I didn't even know what SK was untill now, I always thought it was like some program where you can make your own mods or something :p Now I know :D

    Thankyou!!!!!

SK (Shadow Keeper) is for BG, DK (Dale keeper) is for IWD games. They all have '1' and '2' versions to fit the games, I think you are using DK2 right now. Just so you know. :)

Welcome to the club. Using this little dirty evil tool is fun, as long as you know your boundaries.

    Hahahah OOPS :D

Yes well now that I know what I can do it's going to be a little hard to control myself for the time being :p

I guess it kind of makes up for the fact that there's no tomes in IWDII, yes if you count those pathetic potions.

As far as I know, Dalekeeper 2 only screws up your game if you add innate spells - I played Icewind Gate 2 (a mod for playing BG2 in the IWD2 engine), and found that my innate spells (play BG2 and you know what I'm talking about) randomly disappeared after saving.
I edited the save in DK2 to put them back, and lo and behold - the new save game caused a crash!
But maybe it works fine in IWD2 - the general instability of the mod may have indirectly caused this.

Icewind Gate 2 is bound to make crashs.
