I've been listening/reading alot of Noam Chomsky's stuff. His website http://www.zmag.org/chomsky/index.cfm
has a lot of audio and info about his stuff. He also did a chapter in 'Warplan Iraq', a book by Milan Rai, called Terror and Just Response.

Anyone got something to say about him?

He is rabid and he is a genious. I was really shocked when I started studying English this semester and one of our courses is about learning language as I am to be teacher. Apparantly Chomsky is one of the big authororities on that. It really surprised me as I used to run into him all the time during my political science studies as well. I think he is pretty interesting.

Lol, I like Chomsky a lot.

His lingustic work gave him a secure job on the (or in the ?) MIT and therefore unlimited freedom of speech. Which I appreciate :) .

But he's books are published by independent publishers, which means that have to be imported on a complicated way, which makes his books over here awfully expensive. It hurts, so expensive  .

I like listening to him more than reading, because it's a lot easier for me to understand. I'm 15, so, as you can tell, reading Chomsky's work is a little above me

When I read Chomsky's work in Warplan Iraq, it made the book a little deceving. In that particular book, his work is the only peice that I understand. The rest of the book is filled with abrubtly ending fact and/or remarks that have no factual (or too much) basises. One fact that I didn't agree with is how they mention that Tony Blair stated that Iraq had weapons a couple of weeks before the states did. I mean, why does it matter? If they declared it, but the states never did, then that would be something. The book is filled with stuff like that.

If anyone's read Warplan Iraq and liked it, PM me or post here, cuz I really didn't understand most of it.
