No Sound

    [​IMG] I have just had my old pc upgraded and fixed by my uncle and am going to use it for uni and gaming but when I started it up for the first time today, there was absolutely no sound what so ever. I have had a look through the control panel and when I go to the sound section, everything is greyed out. I cannot access the playback, recording or volume settings. This lead me to believe that it is ither a problem with the motherboard or with the OS (it is running ME but I wont have it hooked up to the net so it wont get infected with viruses)

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Sounds to me like your uncle forgot to install the audio drivers. Hop on over to your motherboard or sound card's manufacturer's website and download/install the audio drivers. If that doesn't solve the problem, let us know. :rolling:
