Just to let y'all know, Gnick O'Thyme has made it all the way from Candlekeep as a level 1/1 little gnome Cleric/Illusionist to the beginning of ToB without a reload (now level 17/15)!

YAY! Did I express how happy I am for getting this far!

BTW, I've only beaten ToB once before, so this one is going to be really tough for me to beat.

Good job Klorox. That is some tenacity and some good playing you've done to accomplish that! I encourage you to go all the way!!

Nice job! I've never tried no-reloads myself.

    Just for the curiosity:
What is your party? Who have been in your party and who have died so far?

    Wonderful work Klorox!

I've beaten SoA twice with no-reloads, but never tried the whole saga.

    Thanks everybody.

Anjo, I finished the game with:

    Jaheira
    Keldorn
    Imoen
    Mazzy
    Minsc

Originally, Mazzy, Minsc, and (obviously) Imoen were not part of the crew. Mazzy and Minsc were added in Chapter 6 when Korgan and Valygar were chunked.

Congratulations. I play the most difficulty-enhancing modded games ever and I call myself 'brave and skillful' player. Yet now I see you are even more skillful and dedicated than me! My salutions! Go for the Throne! :thumb:

My hat is off to you. I have enough trouble trying to play a game without cheating.

Two different animals, Silverstar. I play at "Core Rules" difficulty.

kmonster: I used the G3 fixes and tweakpack.

I didn't add all of the options though, only the ones that make the inventory much easier to handle (jewlery stacking, unlimited ammo stacking, ect.)

Nice job. My own latest attempt at a no reloads game ended in spellhold, when I failed to prevent Irenicus from getting off his ADHW.

^Oh that is sad. You stopped playing, then? Deleted your save game? :( This is rather harsh.

Maybe that's why it is called no-reloads game Silverstar. It's one way to add excitement to the game. Some do it with mods some with no-reloads, choice is yours.

Actually I just finished my own campaign with G3 fixpack & tweaks only (and with Anomen in the party all the way, now that was harsh) and for the next run, I'm looking something new. This no-reloads thingy has picked my interest but I'm not sure if it's for me. It sure adds difficult of the game though.

Yes, I'll definetely try this next. And I'll bring Anomen along for sure.

If I make it all the way, I'll try a "Hardcore" difficulty game next, taking my first roll and not altering stats at all. And no reloads.

    That'd be really interesting.

That's pretty cool, Klorox. I'm going to have to give that a go sometime soon. Perhaps representing myself (with rubbish stats!) through the game or something similar.

How much knowledge of the game do you allow yourself to use? Do you prebuff everything or just stuff like Stoneskin? Do you memorize certain spells for certain fights because you know it'll be handy?

    GAME OVER!

I had just finished Lum the Mad's machine, and when I arrived at the next level I recognized it as a place where I had a lot of trouble last time I played ToB. I decided I'd go for some more XP first and face the second challenge in my Pocket Plane. Little Gnick O'Thymes evil twin broke down my Stoneskins so fast an landed a killing blow. Ugh. I was pretty good on the defense as well, but I'm upset that he was still able to attack me after I cast "Sanctuary." Now THAT'S cheesey IMO.

For the record: I had killed Yaga-Shura before starting Watchers Keep and getting as far as I did. :(

    Damn, man! That sucks...

Don't delete your game, though. Save it for a later time, and try to finish it with only that one reload...
