    Took the discs to my folks house for Christmas hoping to lure my bro into a multigame. Left them there.

    Haven't played since the Friday before Christmas....

    I'm going to be really mad if they have to re-initialze my pc...I think the last time I saved to a cd backup was spellhold.

    Wee poor soul! I´ve played BG-1 for more than 6 months, I don´t know how often.
    I play BG-2, since it was released in late November in Germany. I can really understand the pain of withdrawal.

    I too went through the same feelings when I uninstalled my BG2 game over a month back... so a week back I loaded up Ice Wind Dale again since the expansion pack is 'right around the bend' and should hit the shelves soon. I had almost forgotten how difficult some areas were in IWD. Even after fighting Dragons, Liches and those DAMNED Illithids in BG2, IWD is still a challenge. You would think IWD encounters would be a cakewalk in comparison to BG2... not so. It has to do with the levels reached in IWD, weaponry and classes.

    You may wish to try the ol' IWD option -if you have it.
