Ok, I keep trying to join games but everytime it won't let me because it says I don't have the module "cep.tlk"

What is this "cep.tlk" and where can I get it? How can I join a game? Thanks in advance :p

The CEP.tlk is a .tlk file (which contains core scripts for modules to use, iirc) that will be found in the link that FireKnight gave. IT goes in - now listen closely, this is the tricky bit - the tlk folder!

Out of curiosity, what are you looking for from Online NWN?

Im looking for the joys of online mutliplayer, of course!!

It is my belief that the best games in life are shared. I am a w**** (rhymes with wore lol) for multiplayer.

OMG... EVERY SINGLE SERVER uses this stupid module!! I ran a search for games NOT running it and guess what, 0. Everyone and their mom who plays online uses it. OMG!

I can't download the mod either... Not enuff disk space...

    *waves fist angrily at sky*

That's not a module, it's some sort of expansion, the servers use different modules, it's just that a lot require you to have the CEP installed for the added content it gives you. You would also have to download hakpaks for certain mods to work, since a lot also use their own custom content.

    Refer to this: http://nwvault.ign.com/fms/TopRated.php?content=modules
Of course not all the modules are there but there's a lot, so if a server uses a specific module and you'd like to know what is required to play you can always make a search there (as quite a few neglect to mention what hakpak is required when checking the server info).

You should probably do a search for any modules using only NWN, SoU and HotU if your disk space is low, and then see if a server uses that module.

Well, I would recommend A Land Far Away, if you're after a nice online NWN game! It use to have quite a big following here at SP, but that seems to have slowly died down now. It's still a wonderful place though, if you're after great RPing!

If you scroll down this forum a bit, you'll find a fair few threads about it. Look for the ALFA Adventure threads in particular, they contain some nice tales! In paritcular, this thread, although it is ever so slightly out dated ;)

A land far away eh? hmm.. I might try it. I ended up joining the Arileth server, which is a great rp server and from what i hear its one of the best. Some people take rping a little too seriously though....

Lmao, just a quick story! I was trying to make friends with these people sitting on a cliff, so i sat by them and said hello. they freaked (there were two of them :p ) and accused me of butting in their conversation. I left, hid in shadows, and went under the cliff to listen in (cuz i had made no friends and i was sad :( ) and then the pesky halfling spots me, and then they really freaked. Wish i was a higher lvl rogue .....
