Watch out if you have empty gem bags on NPCs that "leave" the party for a quest or whatever other reason.

I just had Elminster deliver a note to me about Jaheira leaving, who was holding an empty gem bag. When I returned to get her back, all empty gem backs she had in her inventory where gone.

[IMG] Syl, check your other party members inventory. I noticed when a player with any of the containers (scroll cases, gem bags, bag of holding) left (like Jahiera) the container was shifted to another party member. :)

Hmm...You're right. I just found it on my main character. LOL. That's odd. Wonder why they do this because all her other items she kept.

[IMG] Oh, and another strange thing (maybe everyone else already knew this): you can put rings and necklaces in the gem bag!!

And here I thought that gem bags were for--GEMS!! Doh! apparantly rings and necklaces classify! :)

this seems to happen with all containers, such as scroll cases and the bag of holding. you can also put magical rings and amulets in gem bags. very sweet. saves valuable inventory space. now if you could only put keys in gem bags....

But you can't put the damn equalizer pommel jewel in a gem bag, which is silly.

I hope they would make a container for potions --- potions took 1/6 of my inventory space

Key rings would have been nice for all those keys.

The Bag of Holding was a good idea, too bad it was so bugged. I have still yet to patch my game, still waiting for a few weeks before doing so incase there are any major issues with it.

    A few weeks? ROTFL
That really makes sense. It's the final patch you know. Nothing's gonna change after this.

And about the potions... Try to imagine the sillines of a character with 20 potions of so fighting against a character with a hammer or a blunt weapon.

Character Hit: PLENK! Your potion of explosions is shattered and spilled all over you. YEEEAAAAOOOOUCH!!!
Character Hit: PLENK! Your potion of firebreath is shattered and spilled all over you. YEEEAAAAOOOOUCH!!!

    And so on. :p

This sort of thing used to happen with Nethack, Moria and Omega (some mid-level-graphics dnd games): scrolls burned, bottles shaddered, you even had to be soft with the enemies, to get at the spoil. It made shure you didn't hoard too much :).
