Here are today's Neverwinter Nights forum highlights. Please take into account that these are only single parts of various threads and should not be taken out of context. Bear in mind also that the posts presented here are copied as-is, and that any bad spelling and grammar does not get corrected on our end.

Build Notes Explained: Sarcasm in build notes is wasted on some people. For some people, there was a silly message coming from Windows (and let me be very clear that it is coming from the Windows OS, not nwmain.exe) that would tell you to insert your NWN CD into your hard drive. We found out what was causing this, and we added a check such that it wouldn't cause Windows to tell you to insert your NWN CD into your hard drive. That was where the humourous line of "Doing this might void your hard drive's warranty." comes in. The "this" reference, refers to you trying to insert your CD into your hard drive.

Throwing Weapons: No throwing weapons are a different category than bows or crossbows.

Quote: If the Shifter becomes a Dragon, or another form, he will be vulnerable to weapons that slay creature type? Like: if I polymorph into a tyrafog zombie, weapons that are +3, +5 vs undead will afect me? If I turn into a Golem weapons that slay constructs can kill me?

I think yes. If you go into undead form and someone turns you, you are affected.

Quote: Has any thought been put into the programmers doing something to allow the community to "hack in" full henchmen control. Perhaps by hack pack or something else that would allow the player to fully possess the henchmen.

This will never happen, its just not part of NWNs design vision. You will never have full control over henchmen in NWN, this game has always been about controlling exactly one character and it will always stay that way. Henchmen can be told to do a variety of different things in Hordes, including entering stealth mode with you, cast certain spells, buff the party or a single character, stop spellcasting, etc), but they will always stay computer controlled entities, that just the way it is in NWN.

that's why i'm not a big fan of nwn :(
nwn will never become the stuff of legends IMO... right Boo?

i think most people want it, so why don't the developers give what the fans want? :/
or instead, they they could make it possible, and let the player decide it when creating a new game... :/
