Here are today's Neverwinter Nights forum highlights, collected by NWVault. Please take into account that these are only single parts of various threads and should not be taken out of context. 1.64 beta available

What about repack a patched nwtoolset.exe and Mss32.dll for linux users, so they can use the toolset with nwwine without need of MSW ????
The official toolset will never be ported to mac or linux, sorry.

    Did 1.64 Update Creature AI?
There are some fixes to the AI, but no major changes and there are no plans for major changes.

X2 Ambient System Tutorial has made it to version 1
    That's impressive work!

The "proper" fix according to the PnP rules would be to charge the PC gold to cast the spell, since there's a material component. No gold, no light. You could do this with spellhooking. It wouldn't hurt items, but it shouldn't anyway.
you could probably create a "light gem" material component and put it into des_matcomp.2da...

More: I suggest overwriting spellscripts over spellhooks, I personally find it easier to work that way and use spellhooks for the special stuff like wild magic zones or having special effects on certain spells.

1 extra game copy for lan or 3?
If 3 people enjoy the game at the same time, those 3 people need a copy of it. It's as easy at that.

    Copy of x2_inc_itemprop
I wrote x2_inc_itemprop for HotU, it did not come with SoU nor was it used with SoU. If you patch to the latest version of the game, you have it automatically, regardless what expansion packs you have installed.

    On the numeric keypad:

    4 - 6 = pan left / right
    2 - 8 = pan up / down
    7, 9 = rotate left / right
    1, 3 = pitch up / down
    5 = re-centres the camera
    +, - = zoom in / out
