Here are today's Neverwinter Nights forum highlights, collected by NWVault. Please take into account that these are only single parts of various threads and should not be taken out of context. Bear in mind also that the posts presented here are copied as-is, and that any bad spelling and grammar does not get corrected on our end.

Request for scripting commands: GffRead and GffWrite
I don't see any GffWrite happen. We are looking into certain things that came up lately (i.e. that wing thing).

    1.64 FAQ
The post that was referenced is here: Click Here due to the forum change, the old link was broken.Frankly, if you can not make sense out of the explainations and patch notes, it is VERY RECOMMENDED that you do not fiddle around with .ini commands, as you can severely impact your game performance with wrong settings. .ini changes are traditionally not designed for use by "dummies" - without a certain technical background, you are very likely to cause more harm than good by editing settings away from their default settings.

Both Craig and I made a couple of posts with further explainations - but if it's still too complicated, then - and please don't be offended by this - I think you should consider leaving these settings alone. NWN selects a proper cachesize without editing of these settings. Craig on this setting... Click Here

    Which Game to Buy
Yes, the platinum edition comes with all expansion packs and patched up to 1.63, ... and there is even a DVD edition of it out there :)

Curses! Can't get robes to show in multiplayer!
    You can either:

    1) Turn on environment mapping.
    2) Choose a texture setting other than 16 Meg compatibility mode.
Both settings can be found in the game options.

N00b questions for playing with friends online.

I'd like to set us a server that we can add modules too without requiring someone to fill the DM slot. Is that possible?
Unlike maybe some of the other multiplayer games you're used to, all that's required to play the game multiplayer is a copy of the game. Once you and your friends have installed a copy of the game (one copy per player, of course), then anyone can host or join a game between you, or you can join a game someone else in the world is hosting, if you like.

The IGN Neverwinter Vault is a great place to look for modules that might be appropriate for you and/or your group, and if you're looking for games to join, try Neverwinter Connections. For more information, check either of those two sites or read your manual for instructions. Thanks.
