Here are today's Neverwinter Nights forum highlights, collected by NWVault. Please take into account that these are only single parts of various threads and should not be taken out of context. Bear in mind also that the posts presented here are copied as-is, and that any bad spelling and grammar does not get corrected on our end.

    nwn platnium dvd or cd's
The Platinum DVD version says "DVD-ROM EDITION" in a band across the top of the box. If it doesn't say that, then it is probably the CD edition.

    GetHasSpell crash hotfix
Some people who have experienced crashes reported that the 2da they had was too short, so make sure spells.2da, after you downloaded it, ends with #804 Aura_HorrificAppearance

1.64 BUG : electric traps broken

fire traps , electric traps and sonic traps are out of order (the stun effect of sonic traps work) someone with another idea ? (as the bioware one didnt work)
Removing the DelayCommand() didn't work? I find that a little hard to believe. Removing the DelayCommand() will make the traps work like they've always worked since the game was released. While it reintroduces the GetFirst/GetNext issue, that issue is extremely minor compared to the issue with the trap not working. I would suggest removing the DelayCommand() (I know its not ideal) until the next patch is released.

AoO Attack of Opportunity and NPC casters
Code was put in place a few patches ago so that creatures will not take AOO if they are casting a spell. I'm not sure why people keep complaining about this as it was fixed a long time ago.

    More:
Good then, that's what I was asking. And, admittedly, I've only had problems with AOO while using heal kits as of late. I assumed that the problem with spell forfeits was still in because I do not recall seeing any patch notes about it.
Heal kits do in fact still have an issue. However what I find kind of humorous is that every one that starts a thread up on this topic keeps complaining about spell casting and being in stealth mode (both of which have been fixed for around a year now). Only once some one points out that the problem doesn't happen anymore, does some one else post about healing kits. The amount of misinformation posted on our forums can be staggering at times.

This is the reason why I tend to ignore bug reports posted on the forums and only take them seriously once some one has taken the time to figure out the exact steps to reproduce the problem and write a detailed informative bug report to nwbugs@bioware.com Also if people actually tried to reproduce a bug and make sure it still happens before reporting a bug on it (or making a post), it would make me a much happier person. The number of bugs reported on issues that have already been fixed in patches is also alarming.

    bug with new bulette creature
I guess the question is what do you want BioWare to spend their limited amount of zots on. I would suspect that fire breathing Bulettes would be very low on the list for 99% of users. What it boils down to, is what other feature/content would you have cut to allow more zots to be put into making Bulettes play the Dragon breath animation.
