Amazon listing 'Neverwinter Nights Kingmaker Expansion Pack'

The System Requirements list written on the box does include an Internet connection.
[insert primal scream here]The proof I saw of the box before it went to manufacturing had that statement removed. I do not know how it got back on there. An internet connection is NOT required for the Kingmaker retail package, as you pointed out.

    Premium Modules Released on CD!

I was really happy to see the Kingmaker package in EB Toowoomba last week ($39.95 AUD, as I didn't know the modules had been released on CD. Now the greedy kid question - any plans to realease Pirates of the Sword Coast on CD as well?
Can't comment on PotSC at this time, but the $40 AUD seems a little pricy to me. It usually goes for $20 USD, which I think is about $28 AUD. I think you should find a better store :)

    More:
Singleplayer must be the reason that NWN is ranked what? 5th now in the most played online game hosted at Gamespy.
While NWN ranges between 3000 and 6000 players online still, any attempt to link single player and multiplayer with any amount of statistics would be improper. They are completely separate things.
Quote: I assumed that Dragon Age would be a big singleplayer bust, which is why I'm waiting for NWN2.
An interesting conclusion, based on so little information. :)
Quote: Sadly, it looks more and more like the developers are going to remain blind to the simple fact that NWN is STILL selling because of the multiplayer joy that it provides.
Well, considering that you don't have access to the stats we have, let's just say that your conclusion is not quite accurate.
Quote: Saying that KotOR sold as well as NWN is not only ignorant but unrealistic.
I don't think that anyone has made any such claims.
Quote: NWN Platinum is STILL 39.99 in stores and the game has been out how many years now? I find it difficult to believe that a game that sell retail for 19.99 is outselling a 5 year old game that still runs 39.99 retail. Doesn't make much sense to me.NWN is awesome for 2 reasons: Aurora and multiplayer.NOT because of the limited value singleplayer modules included with the box.
While that is an interesting observation, you don't have access to all the facts for some of those conclusions. Please keep this thread on the topic of Kingmaker on CD, please. If you want to comment on Dragon Age, please use that forum.
