Here are today's Neverwinter Nights forum highlights, collected by NWVault. Please take into account that these are only single parts of various threads and should not be taken out of context. Bear in mind also that the posts presented here are copied as-is, and that any bad spelling and grammar does not get corrected on our end.

what time does the store open?
Hi there, we already have a thread going on this. Click Here

are you going to allow public rating of premium modules?
We're not going to provide any particular support for rating these modules on our site as NWVault already has a good system in place for doing that. But yes, if you'd like to rate them there or post your reviews to these forums, please feel free. All we ask is that any spoilers are marked as such.

    How many spoiler forums?
Hi bloboj, For now, I think the plan is to keep everything in a single forum. So that means that everyone needs to take special care in marking any spoilers as such. Moderators will be doing what they can to enforce that.

Ultimately, the decision to bundle these modules and sell them in a physical box from traditional retail shelves is Atari's to make. They're the experts when it comes to judging the traditional retail market so we leave those sorts of decisions up to them.

    Will .pdfs be included?
Hi Rich, There are some basic instructional *.txts with these three modules and we're considering padding those out with some further information and handling them as *.html or *.pdf files in the future. Nothing as extensive as what you suggest but that's not to say we won't consider it for premium modules if we see a need.

    Neverwinter Nights: ShadowGuard
It's not as much of a cliff-hanger as Witch's Wake but it doesn't resolve itself as fully as Kingmaker. :good:Did that help?

    quotes:
"The story element is a definite highlight."
"Kingmaker is said to offer five to eight hours of playing time, but given my explorative play style, I've gone a little over the latter duration and have yet to finish. I look forward to doing so since it definitely rates very high among the most enjoyable modules I've seen."

can I use Paypal to pay for the premium modules?
    At this time, no.

    Non-module Premium Content?

or even find a "legal" way to allow Server Admins to charge for play on thier servers
This will not happen with NWN. Period. Plus I find it kind of weird to complain about how much you have to pay for NWN and all this ... and then ask if you can charge people....The good thing is nobody is forced to play the premium modules, so there is no reason to complain about the fact that they actually cost a small fee.

    On-line requirement will hurt Bioware
You can review our privacy policy here: http://nwn.bioware.com/privacy.html The online authentification is not different from what already happens in multiplayer anyway.

    A new script-- playmovie(movie);
I think the reason why this isn't in the game already is that NWN is a multiplayer game at heart and that raises certain issues (i.e. what happens if the player gets killed while watching the movie?, do we show the movie to everyone in the module?, etc).

    Romances: men or women?
Yes, there are romances. There are actually more choices for women than men, but it depends on who you allow into your party.

    Neverwinter Nights: Kingmaker
Rob tried the subraces in Kingmaker, I believe, and they worked. That said, we did not develop these together, so there are no role playing differences for subraces. They only affect your character. I'm not going to talk about the ending. There is closure, but still plenty of room for a sequel. That's it.

Actually, I think the need for a credit card will hurt their sales more than that authentication.
