    Official answer. The compiler includes all functions that you actually *use* from an include file. Using one out of 30 functions from an included file will only result in that *one* function being compiled into the .ncs.Global variables suck memory and should not be used, use constants / locals instead. There is no good reason to use global variables anyway. The reason why all the AI files are so large is because they include DetermineCombatRound from *_i0_generic which is the largest, most complicated construct in the game.

    Simple Way To Do Something Once Per Day

    Or you could actually do something that works, like adding this to your mod heartbeat.
    Heh, there is a difference between a solution that you do understand and a solution that does not work :) Besides, running a script on heartbeat every 6 seconds for a situation that can only happen once every 48 minutes (assuming 2 min = 1 hours) is a pretty huge waste of resources.
