Buddy List Returning Erroneous IP Addresses/Ports?
We're doing a little IP changing at BioHQ. Things should be sorted out soon. Bear with us. :)

Patch 1.67 has FLAWs : ie COLORS

Quote: I enjoy the idea behind the addition of the colors to select from when creating a new character HOWEVER, if your going to do something like that, does it hurt to TEST it first??? I mean come on BioWare dont anyof you people actuly look into this type of thing or do you just figure "Hey, I know lets make a new patch! This time we can add all the colors."
more from Bioware team to check on new update material contents and it's outcome. . .
"Eventhough we know it can mess up, we wobother doing a fast double check with our OWN robes we made for the Single Player game, using the Pure Black color we plan on opening with this update. Instead we will just sit on our hands and wait for people to notice it so we have another reason to make yet another update patch with flaws!"
Awww...poor lil' noob. Reading skills are really overrated, are they not?

Please refrain from personal attacks on posters on this forum.

The changes to the color palette are deliberate and have been tested for several months now in public beta. Some people don't like them. That's fine. There are always some people who don't like a change. We know that. We can live with it - especially since it's possible to override the palette or and change item colors through the toolset.

Bug in Linux 1.67 with GetIsSkillSuccessful
    A) there is a fix for the linux distribution available in the stick on top of the linux forum.

    B) If that fix doesn't help, send a mail to nwbugs@bioware.com.

    Patch 1.67 FAQ

Will the Critical Rebuild Download screen jam at the end just like the Updater? Sorry if this does not make cence.
The critical rebuild uses different technology than the auto updater, which works fine for most people.

    More:
I have NWN diamond edition do i have to download the patch for all 3 games NWN SOU and HOTU?? or do i have to just download one of them??
This has been answered 3 times already in this thread. either use the auto patcher, or, if that doesn't work for you, download the HotU critical rebuild.

    Question for Devs.
As has already been said, we don't like any of you and wish you would all just go away and stop disturbing my sleep. Darn kids, always using my yard as a shortcut. I oughta call your parents and tell them you've been skipping school again.

So there you go. We don't like you and we especially don't like your sister because she's got icky cooties, so tell her to quit hanging around us cool kids. She bothers us.

Also, where's that twenty bucks you owe us? Man, if we don't get that money right quick we might have to suspend your "hanging out at the BioWare forum" privileges. We can do that, you know, and you don't want to know what'll happen to your reputation when the rest of the intarweb finds out we don't wanna hang around with you anymore.

    Pffffft! N00bs! :p

Also, the Live Team is composed of a small group of dedicated individuals (plus three plucky QA guys in way over their heads) who are struggling just to get our already planned projects out the door. A persistent world--which NWN has never officially supported, by the way--would be a massive undertaking for our tiny team and would preclude us releasing anything else for the next few years. And that's not quite how we wanted the store to operate. ;)

We simply don't have the zots available to pull it off. Sorry.

P.S. I love you guys; you're so much fun to sass.

Patch 1.67 is broken on Linux (fix now available)

Quote: ahh - and don't forget to fire your QA guy  ...
sigh, ok. I'll fire myself. Keep in mind that the linux version is being done by grace, and there are 17 patches each time for linux, let alone the mac, and I usually have only a day to get the build done...

Please Bioware can I have some more..................
Nah, Stan actually has a custom keyboard with multiple, swapable 'A' keys.

As for the next premium module, well, there won't be dire chickens, but something much, much more heinous!

Stan knows what I'm talking about, and I stand on my claim that it's all Peter's fault and I was just fufilling an art request as required by my role! I'm soooorrrreeeeee!

tile set changes in 1.67 ?
Most of the other changes were minor ones like gaps, seams, door orientation, incorrect pathnode or visibility node entries. I've lost track on how many I've fixed. The only real major one aside from the ship groups was modifying the cliff side stairways so the AI can pathfind up and down it a lot easier.

<sniff> Nothing is more beautiful than seeing the PC and his NPC companions pathfind down the stairway, around the corner then back up another one!
    :D
