    Overlooked Modules (thread #2)
This is a really really good idea, great for the community!.

You guys should start a guild dedicated to this stuff.

This thread made me try out The Nature of the Beast ( Click Here ) and I really enjoyed.

Ive got 4 words: "In Before The Lock" :evillol:
I don't think it needs to be a locked thread. I see it as a good vehicle for dicussion on a stream-of-consciousness approach on tips and facts about NWN, particulary to some neophytes who are just joining the game.
I've got 10 words: "Please refrain from making single-line 'in before the lock" posts."

Thanks. And if grizz wants to keep it open, who am I to argue with a dwarf lord? I like to keep my kneecaps, thank you very much.

Wizards suck at any level below five. Once you hit fifth level, you start getting the good offensive and defensive spells. Well, you start dying a lot less, anyways.

I should know. I did some testing last week with a wizard in some premium module that we haven't talked about yet. ;)

    Diamond Kingmaker "expansion"?!

Quote: If the Kingmaker CD-ROM requires verification from Bioware I'm not buying it!
Yes! I've been holding back on buying the modules at the Bioware Online Store in the hopes they will be made into CD-ROMs which don't require you to be online to use them.

Much as I love Bioware no software developer has lasted two decades intact. One day these modules will no longer be supported either because the company no longer exists or the technology that made them has become out of date.

All games are eventually relegated to the has-been bin at some point. Even the greats.
Sorry, I'm not going to challenge your sentiment, since all gamers are different, but honestly, do you really see yourself playing these games again after 20 years? I mean, really, how many games from 1985 are still in your regular rotation? And how many more would you play if only they'd put in code to support some unknowable future gaming environment? ;)

I'm not saying that it's not a good idea. It's just really difficult to see where gamers and developers will go in 5 years, let alone 20. heck, people can't even know where they will be in 20 years!

BioWare has also said on many occasions that, should it come to pass that the Master Server were to go down for good, that we would make an effort to ensure that gamers would still be able to play the games. but I don't foresee that happening anytime soon.

Maybe in 20 years, though. :) Cheers! and have fun with the Premium Modules!
