Here are today's Neverwinter Nights 2 forum highlights, collected by NWVault from Obsidian Forums. Please take into account that these are only single parts of various threads and should not be taken out of context. Bear in mind also that the posts presented here are copied as-is, and that any bad spelling and grammar does not get corrected on our end.

    Dynamic Models
Creatures will be have a more customizable appearance. That may not mean wearing PC armor or anything, but you should be able to have a room with 10 Hobgoblin grunts who all look slightly different (or the exact same if you like, or VERY different if you'd like).

    Corpses
The issue is often not so much about memory.. but rather framerate. All those corpses lying around are eating into your polygon budget for the scene and conspiring to drag your framerate down. That said, a "dead" polygon is no worse than a "live" one and as long as you're not in some area of the game that would continuously spawn stuff I see no reason not to let corpses linger for a while.

I cant make any promises, of course, but like many of you I too would like to see corpses stick around until either a) the enigne says "hey, i need to free up some resources to keep things moving fast", or b ) some amount of time has past that would give a "real" reason for a corpse to be gone. Along the lines of "b" I'd love to see it so that over the apropriate time intervals a corpse would progress from, say, corpse -> coprse picked apart by scavanger animals -> rotten fleshy bone pile -> gone, bones carried off by other animals. Or something like that. smile.gif And again, I have to add the standard "devloper disclaimer": ... anything I say here is not to be taken as a "plan"... I'm just adding to the wishlist like the rest of you.

Will a dead Gnoll be able to fall off a bridge into a river and float on the surface instead of sink?
Only if the Gnoll is made of wood.
