Here are today's Neverwinter Nights 2 forum highlights, collected by NWVault from Obsidian Forums. Please take into account that these are only single parts of various threads and should not be taken out of context. Bear in mind also that the posts presented here are copied as-is, and that any bad spelling and grammar does not get corrected on our end.

    Hiring Practices
Sometimes companies really do keep resumes on file, but in general I think itg's a wise course to resend a resume if another position opens up that you qualify for. It doesn't really hurt your cause to do so, and if enough time's elapsed it's possible your resume fell through the cracks. I do second what Frank is saying, though. A rejection doesn't necessarily mean a candidate isn't qualified for the position. Sometimes the competition for a game dev job can be fierce.

    Cameo Appearances
We're way early in development, but here's an admission - there will be some familiar faces. Who and how much "screen time" they get I'll keep under my hat, though.
-Ferret, who is looking forward to the day when he can talk more about details

    User Interface
I've been spending some brainpower recently thinking about the GUI. The GUI is going to be revamped in NWN2, so I figured I'd start a thread and ask specifically what sort of things people would want out of a new GUI. What things worked really well in your guys opinion in NWN1? What things drove you batty? What things would you like in NWN2?

    Long Hair
That probably be how we would handle it - (tuck the hair under the helmet - as if it was braided or done up...) so, that wouldn't be the problem...Really It's going to come down to bone count. We need X number of bones to drive fingers, cloaks, expressions on the face, etc - so there's not much left for the long hair - other than a pony tail of course - that's do-able...So, that's the trade off - unless we end up with a cost (CPU wise) efficient cloth sim type of deal - it's all about juggling the limited resources we have...(btw - wasnt Mythic - was at Turbine Entertainment working on Middle-earth Online...)
