    Tileset Speculation

If I wrong, then yippie, but I don't think I am.
    I don't think you are either. ;)

    Face generation

Eh, another concern. Since everything is Normal Mapped - will this cut out the Mod community at all? I'm not too familiar with what kind of change this means for people creating custom content. I saw many housewives learn 3dsmax and maya and create everything from custom clothing, to heads to placeables in NWN1. If this process is made significantly harder, well,,, it might become impossible for anyone to make anything for NWN2. Just curious is all. I'm a big fan of custom content and was hoping to get better at modeling as its release draws closer.
So under that reasoning, automobiles should have stayed as they were in the 1920's then...because they were a lot simpler and easier to work on back then as compared to today. :) Guys let's face it, things WILL progress whether we (that includes you, me, and the person next to me) like it or not. The inevitable will happen as it always does. Those who resist will simply be left behind and those who embrace it will flourish. For every person complaining about "this" or "that" (not saying you Juason are, you are simply asking a question) there are one or two in line saying "I can't wait to get my hands on this!" You see that anywhere and everywhere you look in life...not just the video game industry. :) Also, how many "housewives" do you know that can afford "legit" copies of Maya or Max? Hmmm... [IMG] Anyway, to answer the original question...yes, the custom content creation will be more involved in order to make or create something that looks "good". You can still make things the old way and slap a flat normal map on the model with no additional effort. Will it look good? Probably not. Will it be easy to do that? Yes.I've talked with several custom content makers through this board. Guys who seem to really be into it hardcore, and they seem to be pretty excited about the possibilities. I know we sure are! Edit: This reply doesn't really have much of anything to do with the original topic. It was just a tangent...In fact, is there any reason to keep this thread open? Is there anything else you guys want to know about face/head customization...that we can actually tell you about at the moment? Because as I'm sure you've noticed, there's not a whole lot we can talk about at the moment.
