    Customizable GUI >> Scripting Lanuguage
I'm not real sure what I can tell you. Do you have specific questions?

More: I should open with this first, since a lot of the questions seem to resolve around this topic. Right now, GUIs are not module or campaign specific. Right now, GUI elements cannot be created through script (except for a few exceptions).
As a module builder, can I build a custom GUI button and place it on the player's GUI? Can this button be programmed to run "custom_gui_script1" when it is fired?
Calling scripts from the GUI are being looked at. We haven't made any decisions yet, but we do recognize the power that would add.
As a module builder, can I bring up a new "gui" if the player enters a region? For example, if the player goes to the bow of a boat and stands within a trigger, can the trigger be used to bring up a "new gui" with a couple of buttons that can be used to control the gun?
This is the kind of stuff we would LIKE to add, but it remains to be seen if it is feasible and secure.

More: Let me give a quick summary where we are right now with the GUI.The GUI is 100% skinnable. This means if you don't like the colors or images, you can change them or make your own.Customizable is a horse of a different color. Some of the GUI screens are soooo complicated that COMPLETE customization of the screen is not possible. You can always REMOVE GUI elements from a screen, and in many cases you can ADD GUI elements. You cannot WRITE your own callbacks for GUI elements, HOWEVER, we are looking into allowing script calls from GUI elements. There are several hurdles with this. Currently scripts are ONLY called on the server side and thusly TRUSTED by the server. Still, we are investigating it.
