Here are today's Neverwinter Nights 2 forum highlights, collected by NWVault. Please take into account that these are only single parts of various threads and should not be taken out of context. Bear in mind also that the posts presented here are copied as-is, and that any bad spelling and grammar does not get corrected on our end.

will nwn2 have a blood cheat
No, there wont be a password to enable wounds on PCs or blood splatters. I am pretty sure that there will be blood, probably a bit less than the first game.

Toolset Enthusiasts ---> Look at this shot!!
I think I'd rather see it using Windows Classic styling, though.
Well, then, you'll be happy to know that the UI supports themes.

Voodoo Extreme -- NWN2 Preview, NEW screenshots
Several unreleased screenshots at the bottom (some cave interiors and clear shots of the toolset!). http://ve3d.ign.com/articles/666/666655p1.html Enjoy. ;)

    Camera perspective like KotoR2?
I'd very much like to pull it back and play the "isometric" birdseye perspective rather than some fixed pseudo-over-the-shoulder perspective.

Does anyone know more about this?
You can still do this. ;)

Voodoo Extreme -- NWN2 Preview, NEW screenshots
In the 1st toolset screenshot what are those pink/purple things that are placed down at various places in the background top left of the image? Also in the middle of that group of people in the forefront is a cube with a big ? question mark on it, what is that?
The pink/gray objects are placed static cameras for use in cutscenes I believe.

The cube with the "?" on it :) is stand in art to represent missing objects. That way you can't miss the fact that something is blatently missing.

More: Not a lot can be said about the shadows at the moment...other than as far as you guys are concerned, they should "just work". You will not have to jump through any hoops etc in order to make geometry that works (or possibly doesn't work) with the shadowing system.

There were shadows in most of the previous sceens up to this point. They may have been lighter (not as dark) but they were definitely there.

    Gamespy Interview
It is *really* nice to have more information out there. I still am anxiously awaiting the day when I can talk about everything. Come on Summer 2006. :)

    IGN -- NWN2 Preview
You can do some fun things with scaling - I was demoing the game at one point and a press guy asked if I could scale a monster any higher. I said sure, and we wound up with a pit fiend the size of a four-story building. I wanted to yell, "Gojira" and run from the room. :)

Does this mean no blood splatters at all? I hardly noticed any blood in the first. Not that I'm that bloodthirsty :p

Seems like there will be only cut-like blood marks, which sucks as it takes away from the realism.
