Nice write up guys. Thanks for taking the time.

P.S. Some of those shots had bugged grass...so we're well aware of the "grass". :)

    More:
There was one cave shot that sure looked like interiors might have height maps too, but it was hard to say (it could have just been a tile that had the ground moved up a bit).
That was very skilled use of "placeables". We have some dirt and rock patch placeables that we can lay down in some of the interiors that help a lot in terms of breaking up the floor and providing "variation".

    Windowed Mode
You will still be able to run NWN2 in windowed mode.

    New interview at C&VG

One thing I noticed in the 1st video was the fireplace light. You see the flickering from the light but the shadows themselves, like at the chair in front of it, didn't seem to move.
They do now. ;) Unfortunately they didn't make it into that build.

Will certain subraces be gimped for casting?

I guess I could look it over if all the sub-races, regardless of ECL, could reach the 20th level. I just find it very arbitrary and annoying when you are artificially restricted. to the cap - ECL adjustment.
We are allowing ECL-adjusted races to hit 20th level, though obviously they will have to earn more total XP than non-ECL races.

Can anyone make out what the final hair color option is on the character creation video?

    I see:

    Skin Color
    Eye Color
    Facial Hair
    Hair Color
    Hair Highlights
Hair *Blue* (Looks like it starts with A)

While I love all the new character options and customization, I'm not at all fond of the restrictions put on palettes. If I want to make a light blue skinned human Aurillite, that ought to be my decision, not the developers. If I want to make a blue haired tiefling, the same. These normal colors are incredibly boring and unimaginative.
The color palettes for character creation are defined in a 2DA. They change depending on the selected race.

The toolset features a full color picker just like a paint/image application.

    More:

Since those values are defined in 2da files, it sounds like a Leto wouldn't even be needed.

Create a new 2da file, drop it in your override folder, and you can use whatever colors you want. After you've created the character, you should be able to remove the file from your override folder and still be able to use them.
Hm... possibly. I wonder if it would work in multiplay, though, were I do most of my gaming.
    That will work.

"only 16 players max in multiplayer" - gamespy. Some clarification Devs?
We dont have a 16 player limit. Whomever wrote that article is mistaken. We might not put a lot of testing hours on games above 16 players, but I cant think of a technical reason why we wont be able to support at least 64 players.
