Here are today's Neverwinter Nights 2 forum highlights, collected by NWVault. Please take into account that these are only single parts of various threads and should not be taken out of context. Bear in mind also that the posts presented here are copied as-is, and that any bad spelling and grammar does not get corrected on our end.

    Ragdolls and physics

Mr Keeney, does that mean your reply to me in this thread (about half way down page 1) is still valid, or not? Have things changed?
Yup.. that statement pretty much still stands.

    Brian D. Lawson, Programmer

Sea Travel and Fully Useable Ships

I suppose the big question is Frank, can the new water tiles (for lack of a better word)/rendering engine handle usable ships that give us hope of such a feature in a future expansion?
Useable ships are a gameplay mechanic...and really have nothing to do with the new rendering engine. I would say that there are a decent number of other more pressing issues to be dealt with before this could even be considered.

More : No, it wouldn't be difficult. The new rendering engine could do it with ease. Again, it's the gameplay side of things that really has no support for that at the moment.

Question about class blancing in NWN2
We are looking into some class balances issues. Don't read too much into that statement. Bards are the only class that are having extensive revisions (besides 3.5 changes, that is). Please keep bringing up things that you feel are unbalanced. There's at least one thread I read that made me look into something I don't think I would've considered. So keep it up. :)

    Timestop
Either rejoice or moan at this news, but Timestop is not going to be in NWN2. There are several reasons - some have been stated here. For servers, I imagine there will be happy dances all around.
