Here are today's Neverwinter Nights 2 forum highlights, collected by NWVault. Please take into account that these are only single parts of various threads and should not be taken out of context. Bear in mind also that the posts presented here are copied as-is, and that any bad spelling and grammar does not get corrected on our end.

    Ragdolls and physics
The problem with such things and a game like NWN2 is how you integrate it with the relativly strict D&D rules gameplay system. For example, even after something dies in D&D, you still usually have to interact with the corpse (i.e., collect your loot). So, if you shoot a fireball at a bunch of kobolds, blowing them to smithereens and sending their bodies flying off the 1000ft cliff, or into the lava pit, how do you get the goodies? What if, though some act of "real" physics, you send a bad guy with an important quest item falling into an inaccessable area?

    Ragdolls and physics

I would have to agree with that but I would be suprised to hear a programmer not want to go full tilt on physix. He likely is just reflecting the views of the company that made the decision to leave out ragdoll physics from the get-go.
My reply shouldnt be interpreted to mean that there *wont* some kind ragdoll-type stuff... or some physics of some kind. I'm was just expressing that we have issues that other games with physics dont have and trying to make interesting conversation. ;)

Sea Travel and Fully Useable Ships

It's too much work... I really won't blame them if we have no sailing ships.
That and it more than likely will not happen. Too many other more pressing issues at the moment.
