Prince Of Persia Warrior Within As Inspiration?
I found the combat in the POP2 demo fun, if a bit too easy - I'm sure the environments will be the main challenge in the game. I'll play it for surej just for the beautiful level design! As far as D&D - PoP might be a fun simulation of ultra-high level, fully buffed out fighting - but it's not really a model for character progression or D&D's tactical round based system. We'll take some inspiration and ideas, but I wouldn't think we'll be much like that kind of action game. The way I look at it, D&D is fundamentaly multiplayer anyway - the tactics within the party are more important to the game than individual acrobatics - that's why NWN2 still has the choice to play with the isometric camera... so anyway, more animation good! crazy wall jumping pillar shinnying, not likely....*grin*

Bio seems to be doing everything right for DA
Just some points - I think there's room for all the upcoming RPGs to be awesome, and I really hope they are. I love playing RPGs just about as much as making them, and it's best for all of us gamers if we have stellar titles coming down the pike. The upshot is I hope Dragon Age rocks, because I want to play it and have a blast. I hope they have a blast playing our game, as well. This isn't a zero sum game. And I really can't say anything, but some news may come down the pike in a month or so that might make a lot of people quite happy. I have to be cryptic, but I can't until we can announce it.

    Laggy Toolset
Ugh...lag is really not the best term for this. (Lag is more commonly used to describe the effects of bad network conditions in a multiplayer game.) That being said, yeah, we are well aware of this.
