I approve of this dire wolf; fur looks great.
Those cows are weirding me out, though.

Speed tree uses projection maps for shadows, right? Are they going to correctly interact with character and object shadows?

Also, the hair on that vampire is very win. If the granny issue never gets fixed, I'm going to cry. I mean that.
We aren't using SpeedTree's solution for shadows. Trees use our unified shadow system, so yes, trees will interact properly with characters and objects.

Thanks for the info Kommander. ;)

However the issue of facial customization is still, after all this time, up in the air (since we are on the topic if the rendering engine). Can you tell us anything on how that works yet?

We know a sims2 level of detail is out the door, that was established a while back. Recent comments seem to imply the 'mr. potatohead' method is out the window too... So that seem to make the remaining options few. And unless theres a very robust system I am not aware of the remaining choices do not seem that... preferable... IMO.

I am holding out hope you can up with a happy middle gound between nwn1 and sims2. But the silence is really concerning me.

Thanks for any input you can offer.
    Jason is the Kommander. :)

    another height map question..

    On a somewhat related issue....

Is there any obstacle to suspending a placeable in mid-air and making it walkable (and naturally making the area directly underneath unwalkable)?? (Nevermind why....)

    Carl
Yeah.. you should be able to do that. You may not be able to do exactly what you're asking for with the "out-of-the-box" placeables... but you should be able to custom make something to do that.
