Here are today's Neverwinter Nights 2 forum highlights, collected by NWVault. Please take into account that these are only single parts of various threads and should not be taken out of context. Bear in mind also that the posts presented here are copied as-is, and that any bad spelling and grammar does not get corrected on our end.

    Outdoor maps!
I'm going to correct Mr. Sawyer's comment a bit, since I'm the guy that wrote the mini-map stuff :)

The mini-map is generated at area load time on the client. Most things show up in the mini-map except non-static placeables and creatures. Dynamic objects will not pop-in and out of the mini-map.

    Text to Speech Engine

Then again, maybe in the OC for NWN series, all the NPCs said the full conversation outloud too. I seem to remember they did in the downloaded content premium modules.
Actually, the original campaign did not have full voice. It was more like BG in that regard than KOTOR. The opening line for a character would usually be voiced, and, depending on the importance of the character, other lines might have voiceover as well.

    To Devs: More Media!!!
Believe me...we're with you and JUST as frustrated!!! Unfortunately it's out of our hands.

Just remember that it's a licensed game which as a result takes a longer process to get things approved for release.

However, it should be getting better soon...I hope. ;)

More: We're all itchin' for more media...you guys/gals are...we are...everybody is. Patience is key though, and you guys/gals have already been super patient and we appreciate it. Just understand and trust that in house we're doing everything that we con possibly do. We want the rest of the world to see our work as just as badly as the rest of the world wants to see it!

E3 is just around the corner...whatever it may bring, I don't know for sure. I just feel like the media train is starting to crank its wheels...the steam is puffing... ;)
