First, I have an admission to make. I absolutely despise all kind of cherry flavored cigars. Don Carbone (the cheap non-Cuban version, at least), Prime Time, Wild Honeys, Honey Time... they all have one thing in common: They don't smell good and they don't taste better.

Neos is a brand cigar that shares a link to the mighty Dutch cigars known as Panter. While Panter *do* have some flavored cigars -- such as the excellent caramel-flavored Mignon and the just as impressive as the vanilla-flavored Panter Aroma, Neos delve into the more 'common' cigar flavors -- such as Chocolate, Vanilla, and even the oddball Cappucino -- with the unmistakable quality and taste of Dutch cigars.

I originally had no interest in Neos. The cigar guy who supplies my workplace brought a box of cherry Neos Tipis (tipped cigars), so out of curiosity, I decided to try them out.

The first thing that struck me when I unwrapped my first cherry Tipi was the cherry aroma of the cigar, which is unlike any I have ever encountered. It smells natural, much more so than the cheap mainstream brands.

True to Panter tradition, and just like every good cigar should be, Neos are wrapped into a Java wrapper.

Lighting up the Neos, I was greeted by a very pleasent cherry aroma that is sweet and deep without being overwhelming, and upon he first puffs, I can honestly say that those cigars have become an instant classic in my book.

The Neos taste as good on the first puff than on the last. The cherry aroma also leaves a very pleasent cherry smell around the house.

With cherry Neos Tipis being a success all the way, I bought a box of Neos Feelings, which are the object of this review. Feelings are almost identical to Tipis, with one difference -- Tipis have a plastic tip, while Feelings have a cigarette-like filter, which I at first feared would screw with the taste. I am pleased to say that's not the case.

The bottom line: Neos Feelings/Tipi's combine a cherry taste that's unlike any other brand I ever had with a mix of tasty yet unintrusive tobacco flavors, and the high-quality Java wrapper ensures a smooth and pleasent smoking experience, without overshadowing the cherry aroma.

Final score: 9.5/10. That makes Neos a very solid recommendation for the cigar enthusiast who also enjoys flavored cigars.
