it is one of the quests in chapter 6 - the one you have to cure a haunted NPC. An antidote is to be given her.
It occurs that previously I have started a fight, and now the NPC is hostile and I canĀ“t give her the potion.
Is there a cleric spell to revert this and turn her into a friendly mood again so I can cure her?

thanks for your replies. but i have saved several times after this and killed tons of monsters in deadly fighters.
on the other hand, is it possible to carry on withouth the completion of this quest? the quest, though I like to complete, seems not relevant to the main plot.
thanks in advance and best regards.

Just go on. A few XP more or less won't matter anyway.
I don't remember having done this quest in my game either.

    kmonster, i appreciate your suugestion.

by the way, i have made a mess with my mage, two-classing him, so the guy is not capable of launching high-octaned spells. the best i get of him is to launch + 5 missiles and sometimes a mass spell of dubious effect.
is the chapter 6 too long?
i have started it 25 days ago and am looking forward to play icewind dale 1 (which i think is more challenging).

Chapter 6 is not that long, not as long as Chapter 5 anyway.

chapter 5 - the magma map - was terribly boring.

what do you prefer? id1 or id2? I preferred the interface of id2 rather than id1 (i like to mark strategic places in the map, which cannot be done in id1 as far as i have played (just a few minutes so far).

i also like the epic style of id2, which i think is much better than neverwinter nights. there are no plot turnovers - the one who is a foe is always a foe - simplistic, but entertaining IMHO.

I've never played the original although people have stated it's quite a good game, sometimes better then the original, but hey, considering you can cast lvl 9 spells in this one, I aint going back :D

You can actually casy lvl 9 spells in IWD too, well with HoW installed at least. Although there are only two:powerword kill and Monster Summoning 9, but they are powerful for that game. You do not need a WoB (aka:spell of ultimate destruction) in IWD.

I prefer the rule set, atmosphere, and multiple campaigns style of IWD1, and I like the versatility of IWD2:it offers more options to the player in terms of creating/playing PCs, but the plot is not that good and fails to make sense at some points. Oh and there is only one big plot:you have three in IWD1. (main game, HoW, and ToTLM)

IMHO some of the lower mass effect spells is pretty neat. Chaos + Slow works wonders for me when I am overwhelmed by enemies. :)

I can not really choose one over the other. I really like both IWD1 and 2.

For me theres an good atmosphere in the games. I really like the narrators a lot :) .

The only thing I didn't like that much is ToTLM which for me is just another dungeon crawl....

But I agree there is some plot holes in IWD2.

What I really like in IWD2 is that a single class char can be really powerful unlike IWD1. In IWD1 it is usually an good idea to take some Fighter levels or Ranger levels, no need for that in IWD2 :)

Narrator wise, IWD beats IWD 2...Gotta love that 'all too friendly' voice of IWD, and mysterious Seer's cool voice in HoW.

What do we have in IWD2?

    Aerie! :outta:

    Ahhhh I see now.

I do agree though, IWDII didn't get much in the way of voice dialogue did it?
