Need help with finding a song

i've heard this song just a couple of times on the radio. i like it very much despite that i never heard the complete song. i don't know the title or the name of the artist. and i've been asking my friends for almost a month now but in vain. i also tried yahoo! search but it came up with other songs. it has lyrics that goes something like this:

and if you don't want to sleep with me tonight,
it's alright, it's alright with me.


that's about the lyrics i can recall. it is a ballad, sung by a male artist, and had some instrumental that sounded like shawn colvin's (sp?) "sunny came home". the theme sounded like "the guy just wanted someone (or his girlfriend) beside him just to see things through".

i hope someone can give me some info about the song. thanks.

i hate to say it but it's not "don't talk".
i think it's quite new, maybe two months (shrug).

I searched in the huge lyrics-database on letssingit.com but couldn't even find it there.....

 

Did it sound like a ballad ballad or more like a rock or rap ballad?

It sounds a bit familiar, can't you remember anything else about it?

 

heard it in the philippines. but i'm sure it's not by a local artist.

it's not a pure ballad like love songs of kenny rankin, lionel ritchie, or celin dion. i think it's belongs to the category of "superman (it ain't easy being me)".

Well Nior.. maybe it is a very old song, that could be a reason why I can't find the lyrics anywhere.

headbanger, someone found the song for me already. i got the lyrics wrong that's why we couldn't find it. the song was "breathing" by lifehouse.
