Need help w/ Marek-10 day poison thing!

    Hello all. I am playing BG for the second time(the first time I just beat the game rather quickly without doing any of the unnecessary and additional quests but this time I am doing everything I can) and have run into a problem. When I first entered the Gate I was approached by Marek and Lothander who threatened me and promised we would meet again.

    So I shot him in the back with an arrow as he walked off. One shot, one kill. I took his nice bow and moved on.

    Now sometime later I run into Lothander who tells me I am poisoned and has me run around on this little quest to the House of Umberlee then the Lady's House adn back to him at the Blade and Stars. He then informs me that Marek has the other half of the antidote adn I can meet him at the Blushing Mermaid.

    A sense of dread comes upon me but I go to the Mermaid hoping that some bug will insure Marek is waiting there for me, antidote in hand.

    No such luck.

    I do not remember him having any antidote on him when I killed him and I do not even remember WHERE I killed him for that matter!

    Any suggestions?

    Download the "Sword Coast Keeper", find Marek's antidote and assign it to your inventory. Or you could use the CLUAconsole, but I don't know the item code for the antidote.

    Thanks FP. I was trying to avoid DLing editors/trainers(partly because I did not know which one I might need and partly because I have a distaste for using them) but I will justify my actions with the rationalization that he should not have been allowed to poison me after I killed him in teh first place!

    I usually defeat the program by killing them both before they can even spout a word. Hasted ranged weapons with boots of speed works nicely.
    Can you tell I'm not a fan of that quest?
