try using Haste and Bless Spells. these worked for me, but you should memorize a couple of Dispel Magic spells as well in case someone gets confused by them.

Thanks, I beat them by luring them out one at a time and shutting the door behind them.

On a separate note, does anyone know where the 3rd head to the flail is?

You could also have made some stew from the dogs and then used the kitchen to make it. You then leave the stew for the Umber Hulks and they leave the room.

D'Arnise Hold will be up shortly in the BG2 Online Solution, although you'll most likely be finished it by then, you can at least take a look at some of the other things you may have missed or that I missed.

Use a thief while hiding in shadows or an invisible character to walk past the Umber Hulks in the room. The TWO doors on the left side of the room, walk into the first one. At the end of the hallway there is a dirt passage going upwards. Place the stew there (you'll get a blue target for something hidden in the dirt). Then as the Umber Hulks come to eat, go out the OTHER side, close the door and then close the first one you came through. They'll be trapped inside eating the stew and you can then enter the room without fighting them.

Beorn The flail of the ages(nice weapon, too) part 1 is in the room right beyond the forge, the second is in the center room of the highest level -- it is behind the hidden doors coming from the bedroom closest to the stairs from level 1 has a table and a guy who wants to fight, and he has the piece. I forget the other piece, but i know it is in the main path, so you already have it, som the part your most likely missing is the acid head, part 2
