Atari has until 30 April to get the stock price to keep at a full dollar or higher for at least ten days in a row or it's going to stop being listed. Here's a snip:

It seems the recent launch of Dungeons & Dragons: Online Stormreach hasn’t been enough to pull Atari out of the dumps. The game company has been warned by NASDAQ that if it doesn’t get its stock prices up, it will lose its listing on that stock exchange.

The company has until April 30 to boost it prices above $1 for at least 10 consecutive days or it’s gone.

Oh cmon guys, we all know it, why don't we just say it. They're finished. As sad as it is to say it, we all know it's true.

Didn't the same thing happen to Black Isle too, like the same downfall?

Black Isle was shut down when Interplay got into more trouble than it could handle, thanks to Herve Caen from Titus. Personally, I think Atari stopped doing business and started making cash at some point, which hit back. Screwing customers. Blocking or belating patches even when developers were ready. Releasing untested products. One can only take guesses as to what was done in other areas of Atari's activity, following the same pattern. That kind of short-sighted approach doesn't work. Nowadays companies behave as if there were no tomorrow. They want to squeeze as much cash as possible out of the current situation, not thinking of the future.

Yes, so I guess they're going to kill themselves aren't they.

Yeah, I think the omnipresent short-sighted greed is what leads many business to downfall nowadays, not just Atari. It's like building a house on the sand, it will save you some expenses in the short run but it will screw you over in the long run.

You would think people would learn, what with everything that led to the downfall of Interplay. Hopefully companies in future won't be so quick to make cash, and will actually release worthwhile products.

So the evils of Atari may finally be over? Here's to a good swift kick in the nuts for Atari!
Of course, this will do little to discourage other companies from doing the same, they'll probably just see this as the fall of a rival or the opening of opportunity. :smash:
Behold your future, Bioware, should you ignore us. :skeptic:
But lets hope they continue with their performance to date.
