I dropped Nalia because I wanted to do the Spaehre-quest and therefore needed Valygar in my party. Now I want Nalia back (I need a second mage and Edwin won´t join me for my high rep., but I can´t find her anymore. The BG-walkthrough I have says that she is in her castle....any suggestions where to find her?

 

Try Copper Coronet (Slums Inn) or go back to the place you dropped her.

Yes but i have left her in the trademeet jail where you meet cernd and she was not there!!! even though she said she would stay put!

 

are you sure that u didn't just miss her? that jail is hard to see in..

 

Leaving a poor girl like her in a dark jail in a town she's not even from. No wonder she didn't stick around to rejoin

 

hm...well shes in her castle, in the copper coronet or where u left her, or she commited suiscide, she couldnt be left alone so she wen off trying to find u and got lost, or she went off to form her own party and got killed by some puny goblins

 

OK as no one has actually given a precise location I'll add my two pennies worth. I dropped her from my party and let her go back to the castle as she suggested. Since then, she has been in the large dining/meeting room on the ground floor of the castle every time I have been there.

The precise room is found by entering the castle via the main gate, taking the door to the left hand side of the keep entrance (an autosave point) and then walking through an entrance almost directley ahead of you. That should place you in a large hall with tables etc (the dining/meeting room). Nalia is standing near the far end on the right. Of course I am the new lord of this keep so that might affect Nalia's behaviour (though it's unlikely).

Anyway, most NPCs will give you the option to stay were they are or return to a specifc place. If you are going to drop them, it's always safer to let them return to their specifc place so you don't forget them. Some of the specific places being: (I suppose you might call this a SPOILER but it's not really as it aplies after the person has left your group, not where to find them originally)

Minsc - Copper Corenet in the slums
Yoshimo - ditto
Edwin - ditto
Korgan - ditto
Anomen - ditto
Imoen- ditto
Viconia - Graveyard (top leftish)
Jaheira - outside the Harper guild in the docks
Haer'Dalis - theatre under the pub to the west in the bridge district
Mazzy - the Fentan home in Trademeet (I think)
Jan - the Jansen home in the Slums
Cernd - top middle of the Druid Grove (east of the stone circles
Valygar - his cabin middle north of Umar Hills
Aerie - circus I think

Looking at this list it appears that most adventurers like slumming it. No wonder the nobles look down on us

 

yeah...but 'slumming it' is what all the adventuring life is about.. who wants to sleep in a nice big bed with silk pillows and satin sheets....when you can sleep in a bed of leaves and drink fresh rain water in the forest?...
