[IMG] There are mods out there for making Imoen a conjurer, a swashbuckler, even a bard -- but if you're a good party and you need a thief, but don't want Yoshimo (or Jan) in EVERY group and you don't want to play a thief yourself, all you've really got is Nalia. Well, frankly, four levels of thief just isn't enough for me, even if I'm using Nalia mostly as a mage. Has anyone had any luck with using Shadowkeeper to give Nalia some more thief levels, and/or perhaps even giving her a kit, whether swashbuckler and/or conjurer? Will it screw my game, even if I'm not using any mods that involve her?

Giving her more Thief levels shouldn't be a problem, definitely won't be if you her Thief level lower than her Mage's. However it'll be useless anyway unless you manually change proficiencies, skills, and so on. My advice would be to change her completely and start her off as level 1 of whatever class you want her to be, with proficiencies, skills, HP and so on as for level 1, and leave experience intact. As soon as you reload your game you'll get to level her up and can pick everything manually. Probably easier than doing everything within Shadowkeeper. However if you do it this way you won't be able to dual-class her straight away - unlike say NWN, when you level up she will go straight to the level of her XP, skipping all intermediate levels. But you can then dual-class her next time she levels up.

Obviously, I would have to update her other stats if I altered her levels, etc.

I assume that you're suggesting I use Level1npcs, as opposed to Shadowkeeper? I was hoping to avoid that route.

Also, not much point giving her all those levels in thief, and then starting her over as a dual class. I'd rather just take her at whatever XP she has at the time, then split it up however it falls between the two classes (I think she'd either have her thief skills or be close to getting them back). I'd probably still have to use Shadowkeeper anyway, so I may as well just stick with that for the whole idea. I could make her a level 6 thief and a level 7 mage, for instance, similar to Imoen, or whatever.

Ideally, I'd like to have her level 10 swashbuckler, level 11 conjurer at recruitment, but that might mean delaying until Charname (and presumably Nalia) has 535,000 experience....

You can't do that. There's a hard lock on kits. You can only be a swashbuckler or a conjurer, not both.
