my thief (lvl 12) cannot rob shops

    my thief (thats the only class the PC has) can not rob the shops - the option does not appear. is there something wrong?

    You cannot rob shops in IWD. You can only pickpocket people.

    However, the game manual says otherwise. I am afraid the official manual is wrong.
    what a pity. I would be saving a ton of copper.

    Easy unlimited money just spoils the challenge. ;)

    You can sell your expensive stuff to Lehland or Orrick, they pay the best prices for items they don't sell themselves. The difference can be several thousand GP for a mage robe.

    If you are really desperate you can use "animate dead" or "summon monster I" and slaughter the skeletons and goblin archers to sell their weapons. :evil:

    You can rob one particular shop (secret) in Dorm's Deep, and the guy there sells a good quality of scrolls and potions!

    IIRC, HoW disables that too! :(

    Go and pickpocket Oswald, Orrick, and others! You will gain awesome loot, trust me! :thumb: Just be careful, not to get caught, or your game will be over. :wail:
