okay, i read a faq about party making and he said that for my fighters i could take wisdom and charisma to the minimum. is this wise? and wouldnt this make them easily takin over by mind control? also, how important is intelligence to a cleric and druid and how important is wisdom to a wizard?

    thanks for the help!

    1. Not really wise; it would make them easy to dominate. A good distribution for fighters is 18 - 16 - 18 - 3 - 18 - 3. (Assuming human; for other races add/subtract points as appropriate) This way they can get all the combat related feats except Expertise, which is only really useful for AC specialists who don't bother trying to do any actual damage. Also, they don't need skills at all (except for some points in Concentration for Maximise Attacks).

    2. INT is rarely important beyond Wizards and rogues (though rangers also have use for skills). Clerics & Druids need only 2 skills at most: Spellcraft and Concentration. Mostly, though, they can get by with just Concentration. If this is your first time through, though, some points in Wilderness lore may prove handy.

    3. Wizards get good Will saves "out of the box"; you don't need to bust a gut maximising WIS, like with a fighter. In general, points in CON are more useful. 8 WIS will generally suffice, unless you have a load of points going spare.

    Hope that helps. :)

Yeah, maggy's right. Figher's can just pawn Intelligence to their minimum so that you can max out their more important stats! Go the 3rd Edition Rules!

You can pawn Wisdom too if you feel like it, just make sure you have some damn good saving throws or items and such to compensate!

If you're going to tank wisdom, expect your fighter to get charmed every once and a while until you get 5th level Cleric spells. Chaotic commands will fix that.
