    [IMG] @Wirhe:
I admit I do have some intolerances of my own. Mostly, though, I can't stand intolerance of others for things that they can't control, and of course, I got rather intolerant of stupidity after being surrounded by numbnuts at the schools I went to. (You, fortunately, seem not to be as stupid as one might think, though it seems your intolerances include even the occasional sharp jab.) Now, I know it sounds hypocritical to be intolerant of stupid people, but most stupid people choose to be stupid by not trying to be smarter, imho.

    @ SP public:
Something the rest of you need to understand about me is that I tend to have brief bursts of anger, so when I say something like that, try not to take it personally. Most of the time, I'll probably even be joking. I also tend to make snap judgements about people if I have strong enough evidence, and I evaluated Wirhe's comments (past and present) as beyond the bounds of acceptablilty.
If I say something that upsets any of you, just let me know, and I'll try to clarify. I'm not trying to make enemies here. So far, Wirhe is the only one who has even come close to upsetting me enough to truly retaliate verbally against them.

EDIT: (You can skip this part if you already know the story.) Now, as for the explanation I promised, it all started when I said this:
Wirhe then replied to that with:
    After which, I exploded :o :
...And things have gone down-hill from there.

Not the first time someone gets fits over what I say... Like always before, I'm certain that the mods know to baleet topics like this. The funny thing is that none of these people have ever contacted *me* before taking it out to the public. Notice that I don't really care. All this ranting is purely one-sided.

    Ah, well...

I'll tell you why people 'take it out to the public', because you said whatever blatantly insensitive/loud-mouthed/inconsiderate/offensive thing that you said out in public and such things require, nay, demand an immediate response. You should be thanking those of us who challenge you out on the boards, because other-wise, you would likely be receiving dozens of hate-mails and/or PM's daily. But since we're out there, taking you to task for being such an a**, all the other offended people simply read our comments and think, 'Well, at least it's being taken care of.'
Besides, ranting is a rather healthy outlet. :whoa:
You know, I have to say that I'm not terribly surprised that I'm not the first person to object to you. And when you think about it, that's pretty sad. I can't believe it, I'm actually starting to feel sorry for you.

"Arguing on the internet is like running in the special Olympics - even if you win you are still retarded".
Anyway, one must be a really "noticable" character to get offended over someone else's statements. You must know until now that the internet is like a great sewer full of opinions - everybody pisses his one in it and does not care for anything else, or anybody else. So, as you see, internet is a really "tolerant" place :p With a few restrictions you can say whatever you want openly and not have disagreement since nobody really gives a flying ****.
As for tolerance/ intolerance and accusations on the topic - well consider this - is it tolerant to publicly scorn somebody else coz you do not like his opinion? If you really want to be tolerant, then leave the opinons of others alone - do you really care about them so much, since they are not yours? And you cannot make everybody see it your way can you? (not to mention that it is pointless)
So, as you can see stuff such as "get the **** away, you are intolerant" are intolerant themselves and therefore (at least for me) funny.
About gays - well I do not despise them and do not like them, do not think gayness to be normal, but do not care that much since I am not one of them and people I know are not either.

[IMG] I think I said back then to feel free to consider Wirhe's remarks as stupid. They were also somewhat against the rules, but it just wasn't worth my time to go editing them out, and by the time I've seen them, it was too late already anyway. I also seem to remember telling you to take it to e-mail or PM with him if you want to have an argument with him. Why you brought it up here in SS, I have no idea. SS is not a boxing ring for members who dislike each other to fight it out.

When you have a problem with something someone here posts, and you cannot debate it with them publicly because you'd go off topic and/or break our rules, there are 2 things you can do.

    1. Read up on our rules to determine if the post that bothers you violates them, and how. Then contact one of the many moderators about it, and we'll look into it. This is the preferred, but sadly little used way of action.

    2. Contact the person you have a beef with via e-mail or PM, and tell them whatever is on your mind. What we don't see, doesn't hurt us.

But you're not going to solve anything here in SS. Topic closed.
