Just finished an IWD+HOW on insane level. Finished with this group:

    Human Paladin[23]
    Human Fighter[27]
    Human Fighter[9]/Druid[27]
    Half-Elf Ranger[16]/cleric[18]
    Human Bard[30]
    Elf Thief[20]/Mage[16]

If I were to use my bard for another game, how would she gain in levels or skills. Also I'd like to get a mod which will allow my bard to get specialization in weapons.

Mage/Thief has exhausted her weapon list, now what?

I could not get to the world map from Wyrm's tooth. Is there a patch for it?

Finally, during the game I was not able to use the Oil of Null Effect on Maraketh's girl friend (I forget the Drow's name). Does it have to do with my having entered the house from the side entrance, from Malavalon's Lair?

I'm thinking of taking any two of these through another game. Which two would you recommend?

    1. Level 30 bard. That's it, dude. There's some fairly decent upper-level spells in there. For HoW, the songs don't help as much as those hard hitting spells.

    2. Exhausted her weapon list? You mean, no more specializations? Give her something halfway decent, and keep the spells comming.

    3. From Wym's Tooth, one screen up from the temple/museum, there's 3 caves. One leads to the area map, one leads to Lower Dorn's, and one leads into the lower level of the temple. If that cave isn't working, there has to be an install problem. Re-install.

    4. Talk to Genafi (the drow chick, sp?), and she tells you that you *cannot* kill Maraketh. Run him off somewhere, and put that Oil of Null in your inventory. Then just talk to her. You have to have let Maraketh "go", and then talk to her afterwards. The dialogue option should come up, and she'll take it and bail.

    5. The bard gets some dialogue options, but his usefulness is limited on HoF. Until you get some +4 gear, his spells will help you noticably hit the enemy; after you make it to Kuldahar and buy some of the good stuff, your Bard's spells are the most useful. On HoF, that Paladin and Cleric *DESTROY* undead levels. Between the Isle of the Dead and Kressalack's tomb, and all those poor sacrificed virgins (what kind of twisted logic is that, anyways?) will shoot your people up to straight level 30's, all across the board. The Thief/Mage is a good combo to have. If you swap out anyone, consider the fighter and fighter/druid. If you have chosen weapon specialities that you like and seem useful to you, then there's not much reason to get rid of them. You can pick a multi-class race, and give them a second ability. I usually take a bard, paladin, and the rest are multiclassers.
