    [​IMG] Hi everyone. I'm in some really deep trouble with this and any help is appreciated. I need music for a show with my horse, but I need to get rid of the song, vocals, or whatever it's called. If you know how to do it or know a program I can do it in, I would really want to know. The competition is in less than a month so this is becoming very urgent... As I said, I'll be thankful for any help you can give.

    I believe Winamp with the proper plugin can strip the voice and leave only the background music...

    If you don't want to go through all the trouble of doing the editing yourself, try going to a music store and asking if there is a cd with the song you want with just the music, no vocals. depending on the song you want to use, you may get a fully orchestral version of the song, or something like that. Depending on the song you want to use, that may be better. Sometimes when you remove the vocals on the song, you lose the tune itself and just get background and percussion.
    Windows Media Player will remove vocals in a karyoke type style, but I am not sure if you can save it.
    Any programs I know of are pretty up there in cost, possibly above $80 (American). They are professional grade and can remove vocals, or any other tracks you want out. The thing is they can be a bit overwhelming for someone if they've never done it before.
    You may also want to try finding a karyoke cd with your song on it. No offense, but finding a cd with it already may be the best way for you to go if you want a good quality recording and have no experience doing sound editing.
