Like the topic says, I'm planning on starting a Multiplayer Party of 6 characters...mostly because I want to get back into the party game thing, but I can't stand taking NPCs...I'm a powergamer through and through! :D

So...leave your suggestions for party members. Remember...I'm going for pure power here. Roleplaying be damned.

    Er, my favourite:

    Elven Sorcerer,
    Half-Elven Blade,
    Half-Orc Fighter-Thief
    Monk
    Bercerker (any level)\Cleric
and Kensai. Yes, pure, half-orc Kensai. They ROCK ! :)

P.C. I've played with Ranger\Clerics time and again, and in the party, their healing abilities disappoint me. When everybody hits 6000000, single-class cleric would seem a bit of a waste, but before that, a Bercerker early dual-classed to Cleric is pure power.

Since we're in TOB multiclasses shine:

    Fighter/Mage
    Cleric/Ranger
    Fighter/Thief
    Sorcerer
    Cleric/Mage
    Blade

They are so powerful, that you can try the no reloads game if you dare. :D

My party would be very similar to Leslie's, except I'd drop the cleric/mage and add an Inquisitor (the C/M would mean you'd have 4 arcane spellcasters, which is too many for me, and 2 divine spellcasters, again too many for me).

IMO 6 characters are way too much to really enjoy the game, way too easy. I usually prefer three to four char parties. Allows room for NPCs, too.

But as you asked for suggestions for a 6 char party, there you are:
    • Main char: halfling cavalier :shake:
    • dwarven barbarian using axes, flails single weapon style or spears and halberds (my preferred choice)
    • elven archer (he and the barb will have trouble deciding who gets the white dragon scale, but anyway)
    • halfling thief, good old plain thief
    • human cleric
    • elven mage, I like the transmuter kit, sorcerer or wildmage are fun, too.
For real fun go for four:
    • Main char: halfling cavalier :shake: only the half-elf mc kensai-mage is even more overpowered
    • halfling archer or slingster
    • halfling mc mage-thief
    • dwarven mc barbarian-cleric
    :holy:

Halfling Assassin with 19 Dex using shortswords and shortbow skilled in hide, move silently, set traps.
    Fighter/Mage with Longsword or Halbreds,
Any race Skald for the excellent bard song!
Halforc barbarian using axes or bastard swords
Human duel classed Fighter/Cleric with flails or maces and slings.

    @Shrikant: LOL!

The Skald looks good...a purely extra character who does nothing but sing! :D

Actually, I don't want to take any multi-classed characters because then it spreads the XP too thin. 6 single classed characters should be fine.

So far, I've thought of these:

Inquisitor or Undead Hunter for Carsomyr +5.
Assassin for thievery and backstabbing goodness. :D
Skald for singing and then IMPROVED BARD SONG!!!
Ranger dual-classed to Cleric at lvl 13.
Elven Wild Mage! These guys are cool and I've never played one through the whole game before.
Archer with GM in Crossbows would be cool. I've never used Crossbows in this game before...

But I also want to use a Kensai, a Swashbuckler/Fighter, a Druid kit or even a Monk!! :D Its all about classes I've never used before.

Tweak these and feel free to comment. :D

Try a Jester. Your party doesn't need the extra bonuses IMO.
As a side note, you're a bit lacking on the divine/forces of nature category.

I also agree with Shrikant. :p
    Try Beastmaster + Wild Mage + Avenger/Shapeshifter(13)-Fighter + X+X+X.

Hate multiclassing in party games!! :grr:

Okay...here's how its going to be.

Jester (thank you Scythesong, it never struck me)
    Undead Hunter
Skald (just want to try classes I've never played before)
    Wild Mage
Beastmaster dual-weilding clubs! :D This guy is going to be crazy! (Again, thanks Scythesong)
    R/C dual-class
    Assassin...gotta have an assassin! :D

That's looking to be a good party right now...

Especially with two guys with Misleads and Improved Bard Song late game...I am SO going to kick Melyssan's ass with my Wild Mage's Quarterstaff! :D

At least one or two warrior types on the front, at least two long range types to cover the front, and at least one spellcaster.

    Possible partys are:
    Good party:
    Paladin: Close range (Chevalier).
    Ranger: Long or close range.
Cleric: (?Kit?) Long or close range and defence spellcasting.
Druid: (?Kit?) Long range and attack/defence spellcasting.
    Thief: (Assassin) Long range.
Sorcerer: Long range and attack spellcasting.

Don't know what to use for evil party.
    Yeah, i hate multiclassing.

I substituted the Beast Master with a Monk. Almost as bad, and someone I haven't played before! :D

Right now, I'm upto the Copper Coronet...its so EASY!!! No wonder I stopped playing Party Games...I'm itching to solo it with the Jester...but I swear I'm going to finish it! :D

    • Half-Orc (or Dwarven for saving throws) Berserker: crazy HP & immunities; should dual-wield Crom Faeyr + Axe o' Unyielding for maximum devastation.
    • Blade: This type of bard can solo the game, owing to a combination of exploits & HLAs (Mislead + Improved Bard Song, for example). And the more party members there are, the more benefit from the songs!
    • Ranger/Cleric: preferably human dual-classed @ level 9, rather than Half-Elf multiclass, for more spells. Gets both druid & cleric spells at all levels... Your one-stop divine magic shop! Can also buff up & tank.
    • Elven Sorceror: can cast Magic Missile all day... then Wish-rest!
    • Dual-classed Kensai/Thief: because you're worth it! D-c at level 12 for optimal effectiveness, and unleash the power of UAI the instant it becomes available. Combine CF + Assassinate... Ouch!
    • Monk: because no class could be more munchkin, especially in ToB!
Make the Bard or Sorceror leader (for the familiar), NG or LG for the reputation, and that should just about be the munchkin-est party imaginable.

    Bah, Powergaming be damned! ;)

Riessu: Female elven Assassin (NE) with Celestial Fury
Mathur: Male Half-Orc Barbarian (LN), dual-wielding FoA and various other stuff.

Both have good st/dex/con and lousy int/wis (<10) Riessu also has good charisma and she's a bit smarter than Mathur so she's the leader.
They picked up Imoen in Spellhold because they felt a bit sorry for their little sister when they dumped her in Irenicus Dungeon and she knows lots of neat magicks. She is more of a hanger on and is usually bullied into doing whatever Riessu decides to do. :D

-if i created the whole party i definetely would have an inquisitor. that way you dont have to memorize illusion dispelling spells and dispell magic.
-i like druid spells but i dont like druids so R/C is the way to go.
-you need a spellcaster so a sorcerer (best one imo)
-someone to heal-> Priest of Lathander (boon of Lathander or sth like that i cant remember now it is a cool spell)
-someone backstabbing but not single-class thief. maybe a kensai-thief
-anyone you like for this spot (ctrl-Q Ribald, i did his worst stat is 17 and he is a F/M---best NPC ever :) )

    Cleric/Ranger
    Fighter/Mage
    Fighter/Thief
    Sorcerer
    Paladin (Inquisitor)
Leave one slot for NPCs (esp. Jaheira, at least until you get summoned to the Harper Hold).
